16. Short, stubby fingers.
Generally, short fingered people don't need, or want, as much information from their world around them as do long fingered people. Short fingered people operate on a small amount of information plus their own "gut feelings". They are more inner directed than people with long fingers.

23. Interesting ...
The Apollo finger (ring finger) is about even with the Jupiter finger (index finger) showing issues revolving around damaged self-worth, not being very confident. Also, the palms are incredibly "fleshy" indicating a personality that is highly emotional, prone to tempter tantrums and highstrung in an unhealthy way. What's really fascinating, though, is that the Mounts of Mars and Luna (basically the heel of the hand and the area above that) are very pronounced showing a propensity for cruelty, either self-inflicted or directed out to others. I do think he has a long life (evidenced by the strength of the lines and the length of the Life Line), but there is this Line that seems to take over and stand in for the regular Life Line. You can see the Life Line work it's way from the top of the hand nearest the thumb towards the wrist where it kinda disappears (may be the quality of the light in the pic, though) and then, to the left, another stronger line travel from midway down the palm from the Head Line (running straight from thumb to opposite side of hand) and go towards his wrist. He doesn't have a lot of smaller lines, so I don't think he puts much thought toward what he does. But his Sun Line (beginning from the heel of the palm and traveling up) stops at the Heart Line, so I think he can screw himself out of opportunities because of the intensity of his "feelings". Basically the palm of a man who is not an intellectual and who follows what feels right for him, regardless of the facts.

I look forward to seeing you there.

29. Here's my reading...
Edited on Fri Mar-17-06 11:04 AM by Dunvegan

This is the right, therefore dominant hand.

Deeply cupped hands usually indicates a lack of a flair for business.

Soft and flabby hands is s good sign of someone who prefers the easy life.

Life line:
A "perfect" life line would be long, well defined, and free of any markings.

President Bush exhibits a extremely weak life line. This is a rare, but possible, occurance. Usually present in a person with catatonia, but may represent someone who lives mostly in their mind - cases of extreme introversion.

This weak life line represents a more conservative person, one who may not handle conflict, troubles, and illnesses as well as the next person. If the life line is faint and there are no sister lines to support it, this is a sign of weakness, either in energy levels or lifestyles.

The weak will or energy can lead to the dependence of alcohol or drugs. An extreme emotional trauma, e.g. extreme insecurity of any kind, can set off a chain reaction leading to severe mental instability.

If there is a gap between the life and head lines then the person will act on their impulse and be rather reckless.

Head line: A small gap between the head line and the life line shows that the person is a bit restless and like to be active.

The wider the gap the more restless and active the person. It can also indicate that they are impatient and may need to look at their behaviour.

If the head line is short the person will not try to hard and will give up quickly and easily.

Heart line: The straight line is passive in romantic matters.

A very long line, touching both sides of the palm, shows a person highly dependent on relationships. This could even lead to promiscuity. A deep and straight line indicates jealousy and criminal tendencies.

31. Thanks! Catatonia! That's about right.
Weak, reckless, right on the money.

Severe emotional trauma - his little sister died and the parents didn't bother to tell him until after it was all over. He's probably been going downhill since then.

Also general mental weakness and instability.

Seldom seen such a weak life line.

Or do you mean that indicates the mental weakness and instability?

37. Mental, emotional weakness.
Edited on Fri Mar-17-06 12:00 PM by Dunvegan
Not necessarily literal regarding length of life, anthough with other factors a long and strong life line can hint at that, depending on markers showing phases of life.

In the case of the Chimperor's paw, we're seeing in the faint life line(s) an amazing weakness of life force, emotional stability, and moral fiber.

BTW, the heart line hints at strong and stubborn emotional inflexibility that may explain his rigid demand for loyalty above all other things.

32. Not a palm reader, but I do read tarot cards sometimes.
For fun, mostly, and occasionally for petty cash ($2 or $5 readings).

But I require the subject to shuffle the cards, and I cut the deck when he or she is done shuffling. I don't get how someone can read cards, assuming that it is more than just a game to some, over the phone. I always thought that the person wanting information needs to be physically present and actively participating.

It's fun to read cards for my friends, because I know them well and have 19 years of experience as a social worker. I'm just surprised at how many people put a lot of stock in that type of thing, when being a good psychic is mostly about psychology. I guess I could really fleece the naive, if I chose to.
