America is never going to say "You were right about Bush!"
If that's what you're holding out for, forget it.

Even if/when he reaches only 24% approval, most Americans who once supported Bush are going to chalk it up to him mismanaging ideas they still do support.

They're not going to say "Hey those liberals were right about Bush - they must be the real deal." They'll rationalize it into us being accidentally right, or right for the wrong reasons.

We should be prepared to make the most of that.

But if you're waiting for a big cultural shift, I don't think you're going to see it.

2. Not with this media. And stupid pride.
most people will just quit being involved in politics altogether, or cop a "throw the bums out" mentality (which wouldn't be so bad).

3. True. But we have our own pride to overcome as well.
Like most (I imagine) who have opposed Bushco, I'd like to get my day. I'd like to hear "Thanks - you were right. I called you names, I impugned your integrity. I shouldn't have, and I was wrong."

But that's not going to happen, and my desire to hear it is founded in my own pride.

I hope as a group we won't be too distracted by that sort of pride, but can instead focus on taking advantage of the situation.
