Do you like those Red/Blue USA maps? You'll LOVE this one!
Edited on Fri Mar-17-06 06:52 AM by dicksteele
Our fellow DUer 'specimenfred1984' started a thread with
a state-by-state map of Da Blivet's APPROVAL RATINGS:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x679672#683460

However, the best map he could find
depicted the numbers from last November.

I took the liberty of UPDATING it to reflect the latest data from SurveyUSA:

2. Great.
Thanks for doing this. I'm proud to be part of the deep blue Northeast. (Now if only we could sink CT and NH approval ratings to under 30% and get rid of that nasty pepto pink and drab gray)

5. I dunno- it's the only state that went UP since Nov.
WTF is going on in Alabama to make that happen?
Anybody have an idea?

6. Sad to say I am from Bama
Being Bama born, I can make this comment! They are so backwards they think down is up!

Who the hell knows, that is why I left. I am only forced back for holidays.

7. Well, can you think of...
...any issues at all that might be specific to Alabama?

There must be SOMETHING that they care about there
which the rest of the states don't.

It's just ODD, is all.

8. Today's
News states that Bama farmers are about to get the shaft, you would think this would turn them back towards blue! I just don't get it.

But it is the heart of the Bible Belt, there is no telling what is being spewed from the pulpits!

9. Ah, yes...the pulpits.
Always the X factor in the equation,
because I have so little info on what
they might be up to at any given moment.

That might possibly be it.

31. Just a lot of idiots here
Gov. Bob Riley, AG Troy King, Gov. wannabe Mike Hubbard, and other repukes trying to make this state redder than it is. Good people like Lucy Baxley and Don Siegelman will hopefully bring this state to its senses.

So I can't take too much credit.
I just took the time to update it from the November map
that was posted yesterday.

It certainly is a great map, though, innit?
I might have to use it for wallpaper.

19. Question about polls
Has anyone seen a poll asking how people would vote if Kerry versus Bush were being rerun today?

I'm curious about whether these low poll ratings translate into a willingness to vote against the "Commander in Chief" during "wartime".

23. Honestly, no. I have not seen such a poll.
But history tells us that such a question would NOT
generate the same numbers as a simple "do you approve" poll.

32. Well, they don't seem to tolerate the Clinton-Bashing as much...
...so that gives them a partial immunity
to the B*shCabal™ propaganda right from the start.

They might still fall for it as quick as everyone else,

29. I sort of wish there was an extra dark shade of blue
for "less than 10%", just for DC. I bet if you polled just the residents of DC, it really would be something like 5-9% approval...if that, even.

This one shows that Bush's disapproval rating exceeds his approval rating in only SEVEN states! And this one shows that his rating is 51% or higher in only THREE states!
