This would be a great team. Lots of experience and this is what we need, because whoever takes over in 2008 and going to have a colossal mess on their hands.

16. Gore/Kerry
Think about it, the two men who were robbed of the presidency by GOP corruption at every state level. They would be the most motivated to clean house, especially if they persuaded Spitzer to join as AG.

No, of course I'd prefer a more progressive ticket, but progressivism will have to wait until we fumigate this country and rid ourselves of fascism.

I want two angry pit bull lawyers at the top.

28. A woman on the ticket
I believe there are some women, past and present, who have shown much more leadership than Hillary, as governors and in congress. It is time for that leadership to be used on the next national plan for the ballot or the Dems will lose again. If the Dems don't do it the republicans will! It is very late already for the US, that is supposed to be known for equality, diversity, and honesty.

42. Gore/Obama or Feingold/Obama
First of all I think that Al Gore is the guy with the best experience to clean up the elephant shit. He is right on all the issues and is a leader on global climate change. He has some problems though--not the least is that he has been mercilessly caricatured as wooden and uncharismatic. He'll need a VP choice that will help him connect with voters. If Gore doesn't run, Russ Feingold has my vote. He'd be my first choice if he had executive experience. I don't have any doubt that he'd run a daring campeign.

Barak Obama has charisma written all over him. He lacks the experience for the top job (imho) but is intelligent and obviously well-spoken with an honest ability to speak about faith and values. Democrats will need to turn out black voters and an African-American VP choice--particularly one who does not scare white voters is a big plus. He may not be as hard a hitter as I'd like to see but since my two choices for President are slammers (unless Gore, God helps us reverts to 2000 form) maybe a more soft-spoken VP nominee might be a good thing.

As far as others go:

Edwards: I really like this guy but he's light in the experience department and his boyish good looks don't help lend him gravitas--although I swooned over him in that Hardball interview yesterday--maybe they should let him campeign in jeans and a work shirt--whew.

Clark: Great guy with lots of leadership experience. If he can put together a better campeign in 2004 I'm open to voting for him.

Clinton: About the only reason that I could see voting for her would be nostalgia for the Clinton years--given 8 years of Bush that might be a big plus. We also get Bill as first husband and wouldn't we all love to see him back in some capacity--even if it's picking out the china for state dinners. On the downside she's foursquare for the Iraq war (bad judgement--though I think that might change once she's past the Senate election and she now longers has to appeal to the pro-Israel vote) and comes off has having few if any convictions.

Dean: He said he wants to serve as DNC chair until 2008 and I believe him. If he resigns to run that won't look too good to his straight shooter reputation. If he gets pushed out by the party elders and decides to run in the primaries I could easily get behind him. He's one of the few Democrats who has mastered the TV talk show format. Dean's wild eyed reputation is so out of line with reality that when people see the real Howard Dean, they are usually impressed.

Schweitzer: The man with the coolest dog in politics, smart, outspoken but also light on experience. Could make a good choice for the #2 spot and if God forbid, the Democrats fail in 08, a candidate in 2012.

Warner: I don't know much about him and what I do know doesn't particularly excite me, which probably means he's electable.
