Roger Ebert reviews "V for Vendetta"
For Ebert, you have to read the review. Forget the stars.

2. I miss Gene Siskel
because he and Ebert were a great team. If Ebert liked a movie, it had a heart. If Siskel liked a movie, it had a brain. If they both liked a movie, it was a definite must-see.

It just hasn't been as reliable since he died.

6. Ebert's still good, but it's only half the show it was.
Ebert's written reviews are the key. Siskel didn't write full reviews, Ebert still writes four or five a week.

And even siskel & ebert could both be completely wrong. They had a weakness for foreign films.

3. Interesting review
It seems pretty cautious for Ebert. I mean if the movie tanks you can read it as a semi condemnation, but otherwise it looks like an interesting failure?

I am looking forward to seeing it myself.

4. Ebert makes me laugh
"... I was reminded of my problem with Thomas the Tank Engine: If something talks, its lips should move."

Heehee. Sometimes, I just like the way he puts things. Sounds like Ebert enjoyed it, for the most part. I can't wait to see it but I have to wait for my roommate to get back from vacation!

5. Ebert is truly the best. Such a great writer, astute, funny, progressive

A fair & interesting critic...the ONLY film critic to ever win the Pulitzer prize...he's liberal, his full reviews are just the best, some are even works of art, and always with his great sense of humor.

Great insight, the best!!!

8. Ebert is usually on a pretty smart, solid page, politically.
