Hadley on Bush Doctrine speaking now
under long standing principles of self-defense, we do not rule out self-defense before attacks occur

1. Why aren't the pollsters asking the "should we pre-emptively
strike Iran question? Are they going to sit by until we start another war and then ask the American people if they support our troops? Are they going to sit by while we kill thousands of Iranian citizens and then ask us what we think? Our media really is spineless!!

2. Have you called all your Congresspeople today to tell them
to go on the record about this and express your opinion?

8. Not only have I called my Congresspeople, I called Wyden and
Harry Reid's office to let them know how totally disgusted I am. I let them know that I will not contribute one more dollar to any democrat until they grow some huevos. I really let them have it. I am fed up and so are most of the other dems I know. If there ever was a time to shut down the government, it would be over the proposed bill that will allow the pres to spy on Americans. Wyden is implicated in the release of the NSA info and he could go to prison if this law passes. Isn't it time for these guys to stand up? I have really had it with this weak-kneed, lilly-livered bunch. All they care about is getting re-elected, not what is good for the country.

9. What? Wyden implicated? How?
With you on the rest. I spent about an hour calling my congresspeople about some stuff, and believe me, in Texas, it's kind of pointless when both senators are Republican, but demmit, they represent me too even if they dont' fuggin like it.

12. Sorry it took me so long to reply, babysitting for my grandchildren!
I read that Wyden is one of the 4 Dems that the justice department is looking at for having leaked the information to the media. The recently passed new Patriot Act would allow for a fine of 1 million and imprisonment. They really want to go after him. He's been the leader on matters concerning violations of civil liberties in the Senate!

and, 'national security' will always be their shield against any accountability.

7. Hadley's arguments are bullshit... he brought up why it was okay
to attack Iraq... by saying that Iraq basically brought it upon themselves by their actions in the international community

10. Then It's Not Self-Defense
Self-defense involves the avoidance of injury in the wake of an actual attempt to cause harm. It means blocking a punch, or slipping one. It involves counterattacking once the attacker has made a move. Attacking first, because one day somebody might throw a punch is not self-defense. It's assault.
