DoD bought ICE for Abu-Ghraib from Saudi Arabia...

If you look at those photos that were released on salon today. One of the dead bodies (killed by CIA, never prosecuted) was bagged up in bags of ice. The ICE name on the bags is Gulf Ice Plant (gulfice.com).

I wonder how much that cost us to get ice from them? How rich are the Saudi's getting off of our attack on Iraq?

Maybe it's just after Katrina and such, I'm more aware of it, but I'm wondering whether they are playing billing games with ice the same way that the Mob plays games with coin-op laundry revenue?

It would make an easy scam -- there's no inventory left to account for. Hard to say after the fact just how much ice is devlivered here and there. Especially since nobody ever seems to count anything anymore in Iraq.

I think I read some of it ended up being stored up in Maine. Or so they said.

In any case, you can bet we bought and paid for it.
