Day #2- Kennedy's office with NO support for Russ Feingold
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 11:02 AM by PuraVidaDreamin
His staffer doesn't think his constituents are angry,
as I told her we are. She believes we are just frustrated.

And Class Warrior- she doesn't agree that it is as simple
as either he supports censure or he supports criminal activity.
I made sure she knew it was. Adding that Kennedy will not receive
campaign donations from me this election and that all my funds
will go to Carl Sheeler in Rhode Island.

Anyone wanna give it a try?
Kennedy Boston- 617-565-317-

2. Kerry is on board
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 11:30 AM by PuraVidaDreamin
as I called his office to thank him, but was
quite confused with the staffer's office at first-
"How did you hear this information" I was quite
startled in the tone of her question, as it led
me to ask- "why, hasn't he?"

She did acknowledge that he did

She just wanted to know because it has received
close to zero media.

7. They really don't have any idea what we do here, do they?
While this doesn't surprise me a bit, it DOES piss me off some. They seem almost totally clueless as to how much we pay attention....

10. read what joe trippi says.
One Democratic political organizer, Joseph Trippi, told The New York Sun that Mr. Feingold's call will require some response from other contenders for the 2008 nomination.

"Regardless of the public opposition and of how many people roll their eyes, this is pretty serious stuff," Mr. Trippi said. "I think it's going to have an effect on the rest of the field."

Mr. Trippi said he thought Mr. Feingold's motivations were sincere and consistent with his long track record in favor of civil liberties. The senator is already popular among online activists, sometimes called the "netroots," and will gain ground with his latest move, the analyst said.

Mr. Trippi warned that any potential candidate who dismisses the censure idea risks being flamed online. "Anybody who says this is going too far is somebody who's probably writing off that side of things," he said. "Anybody who writes off the netroots or says you don't have to pay attention is really playing with dynamite."

14. Kerry was the first to support Feingold, but media is emphasizing
the Dems who won't in an attempt to kill the story for Bush. Most lawmakers rely on what they hear in the media, too, unfortunately.

3. They still owe us a reason for the NO vote.
Not just a rejection of the YES.

4. Seems that to some elected dems,
if they don't get positive press out of it or as a way to get into the limelight, they won't bother.

6. What a joke. I've been ANGRY ever since the nasty little
turd stole his way into the White House. And I would be furious, as I am, at any official who not only breaks the law, but boasts about it.

No one should be allowed to flout the law without consequences, not even George Walker Bush.

11. Anger isn't the issue. The issue is that
the evil cretin illegally occupying the WH has knowingly broken the law and not only isn't contrite, he intends to keep doing it. What will it take for the Dems as a group to unite, speak out and go on the record in favor not only of censure but impeachment. I know it's a cliche here on DU, but I think the chimp could have sex with a minor on the field during halftime at the Superbowl and the Dems would look the other way.

And if Kennedy doesn't think Dems are beyond angry, he hasn't been reading his mail.

15. Not angry? Frustrated? It seems the GOP has successfully framed the
argument that Dems are Angry! Oh horror! So here is one of our most distinguished statesmen's office caving into those GOP talking points...... disgusting.

BTW... Damned right I'm Angry!
