Just curious. Anyone called them to see if they've been getting feedback or to relay support for it to the Democratic Senators?

There's nothing on the website homepage. But I did a search and one, that's correct, ONE! entry was found at http://dnc.org/a/2006/03/open_thread_170.php

Geez! You'ld think with 168 comments to that small posting, they would find it to be at the level of homepage stuff! :banghead:

2. This Is Strictly In The Senate Right Now
I'm not sure what type of support you're looking for...and what the DNC can do.

This would be something you'd want to find out where the DSCC and Schumer stands on. He's ground zero now on all things Senate and it's his support that is critical.

Right now the DNC is involved in dozens of primaries...we still need to slate candidate in some races and build better financing structures for others. There's a bunch of races to be decided in the primaries, thus the focus of the party at this point should be local...then working on a national message as the year progresses.

As has been stated in other threads, this motion should be one that can be used as a wedge issue to force Repugnicans to go on the record in condoning illegal wiretapping and the criminality of this regime. Feingold's motion is strictly in the Senate...there's no matching legislation in the House. Now I hope that subsequent events will not only keep the censure motion alive, but create a stronger demand for House Democrats to come up with a similar motion and then form it into a national issue...one that will resonate far more effective in September and October than it will in March.

Cheers...
