Nutso LTTE in a Mississippi Paper Today

Ok. I got home from work today and sat down with a stack of newspapers from around Mississippi. There was a completely insane letter to the editor in one paper--it just left me dumbstruck that anyone could be so stupid.

Basically, here's the background info on the letter: A sheriff in Forrest County, Mississippi, commandeered a FEMA truck of ice after Katrina, and he distributed it to his community. Why did he do this? Because stupid-ass FEMA was going to let the truck sit on the tarmac at Camp Shelby, and the sheriff's constituents needed it! What he did was right, and now THE FEDS IN THE IDIOT SON'S ADMINISTRATION ARE PROSECUTING THIS SHERIFF! I think Republicans and Democrats alike support the sheriff and are appalled that the feds have the audacity to prosecute him, since he was taking care of his people, many of whom were elderly and needed ice and water just to stay alive.

So the author of this LTTE is correct to support the sheriff, but GET THIS! Oh, I can't condense that part of her letter--you'll just have to read it for yourself. The contradiction in her own letter just exposes her utter stupidity. Here's a snip from her letter; you can comment as you like:

Three members of my immediate family are in law enforcement and were involved in the Katrina aftermath. They worked with Sheriff McGee and his staff and know him to be a professional officer of the law and to run a professional staff also. I think Sheriff McGee, as well as the other officers, should be rewarded and not persecuted and prosecuted for trying to help others in need. I have talked with hundreds of people that feel the same way that I do.

We should all think about and compare how well our state has fared in the aftermath of the hurricane compared to our sister state of Louisiana. This can be attributed to the outstanding leadership of Gov. Haley Barbour and President George W. Bush.

The scary frog w/teeth has better leadership qualities than Barbour & Bush.

3. If one can recall,

in the same clip that bush tells brown, "you're doing a heck of a job brownie", one only has to have the remarks made by barbour prior to this and what he had to say about bush. Would make one sick listening to that fella barbour.....

Yes. Thank you, george w bush. All the people who died thank you. All those who lost family and friends thank you. All those who lost their homes and all they had on this earth thank you. All those who lost their jobs and were uprooted across the country thank you. All those who have now been kicked out of the hotels as they try to find their children, their families and to pull their lives back together thank you.
