Worried about the election year 'consequences'...

Are they REALLY this stupid? Do they not realize this country HATES Bush and WANTS to see him held accountable?!

I am reaching my end. Over & over & over & over, a huge percentage of them do the wrong thing. They hand Republicans victory in horrible policies & appointments. And, except for a few FANTASTIC people, the rest are useless.

Alito.

Bankruptcy bill.

TWO STOLEN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS - Lord Knows how many stolen Senate & Congressional Races.

Now they are too intimidated to censure Bush? The man is a CRIMINAL. He needs to be impeached.

What a bunch of SPINELESS wimps. Every single one of them who betray their oath to the constitution.

2. Another Reason This Country Is Fucked!
We have a dictatorship folks. One party rule. Oh, there's an "opposition" party. If you actually can call it that with a straight face.

I see myself out of this country within the next 5 years. Amerika is pretty much a joke.

If you don't feel you have it in you to fight, that's okay. We can find people strong enough to take up your slack.

37. Why do you bother hanging around here if you don't want to fight?
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 10:17 PM by Independent_Liberal
Do you not care about your country at all? Would really rather do nothing and sit back and watch it get trashed? If so, I'm sorry you feel that way. Your negative attitude and bitching and moaning like that helps nothing. It only makes a black hole bigger. What if you let your country get destroyed and there was a chance you could've saved it and you didn't act? Wouldn't you feel bad? You'll be remembered as a German who surrendered to tyranny. Not fighting at all is the same as conceding defeat early on before you even tried anything. Some fights take a while to win, but like they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. Not even attempting to put up a fight not only makes you look like a wimp, but it also makes you look complicit. You don't want to look complicit, do you? Somehow I feel deep down inside you don't really feel that hopeless. You're just frustrated by how shitty everything is, which is understandable. And when people get frustrated, they have a tendency to exagerate, be sarcastic, and say things they don't really mean. Am I right? I hope so. I really hope you do care about your country and don't want to see anything bad happen to it.

Like ClassWarrior said, if you do intend to move, we'll have somebody else come in and take up your slack. If stay you here and continue to post these defeatist posts and get everyone else depressed, I'm gonna have reach through the computer screen and cyber slap some sense into you. Ha! Just joking. Hope you didn't take that personally. :)

But I didn't use the f-word.

Only two Democrats are probably against it so far (Bingamann and Lieberman). This article is purposefully misleading to make Senator Feingold's position look weak.

I can't believe I supported him with Gore!! I know, his record doesn't show him to be such a RW'er, but I really do think he's make some kind of turn somewhere that way!

Even Harry Reid seems a little wimpy to me. I get emails from him all the time, but c'mon.. to coin a phrase from Mondale and the little old lady..."Where's The Beef?"

I wear the concept "Dem" like a tie to a function with civilized folk. In reality I'm an anarcist ready to take it to the streets. I respond most readily to "populist" when it comes to mainstream labels.

I don't feel lonely here either, there are many like me. So don't pull your punches, the Lieberman's, Zell Millers, Bill Nelsons, et al are exactly what they appear to be and suffer no harm from being exposed in their girlie underwear with the little pink elephants cavorting about the waistband.

I guarantee that Hillary is working behind the scenes to poison the well. A strong Feingold makes her look weak and ineffectual. It doesn't benefit her to have Feingold as a viable competitor in 2008.

So I'm off to listen Sarah Thompson's song "Message for Freedom":

Message for Freedom
by Sarah Thompson

Rulers of the nations as you fuss and fight
Over who owns the soil than who has the right
To design, build, sell and store and fire
All the bombs and guns to defend your holy empire
There are children, hungry children, sick and dying
There are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers crying
They’re only pawns in your play of power and corruption
Slowly starvin your new weapon of mass destruction

And prove to me America that you care
And prove to me America you’re aware
Who’s dying for your freedom in this land
Who pays the cost for the liberties you demand
Is it for freedom or our comfort and convenience
Is it to profit for big business we pledge our allegiance

Are we prisoners in the land of the brave and the bold
Held by indifference or our hearts grown hard and cold
And prove to me America that you care
And prove to me America you’re aware
Who’s dying for your freedom in this land
Who pays the cost for the liberties you demand

Of course Bush and Cheney are both criminals and even war criminals, but don't expect any of the CIA Military-Industrial Mafia's hand picked slates of political 'candidates' of either party to stand up for our Constitution or for the principles of anti-fascist 'liberty' if they value their cushy privileged jobs and fat donation cheques.

40. How many times do the majority of dems have to betray us?

This article states Harry Reid will not endorse the censure or hasn't even READ it. Some minority leader. He can't muster the courage to challenge this criminal President and hold him accountable.

Why is it that you expect so little from your democratic party? What kind of salvation do you expect from a party that is afraid to speak out against a criminal President? That allows TWO Presidential elections to be stolen with nary a peep? Do you honestly think we will have honest elections this year? And, what will the dems do about it when they cheat?

I am going by THEIR track record.

Look, I am not saying not fight or abandon the democratic party. I believe that Progressives taking over the current democratic party is the best strategy for change. But, that is a long term plan. In the meantime, we have a status quo democratic party that is meek and ineffective. They have lousy political instincts. Going after Bush is a SMART political move. When are the dems going to stop waiting for the Republicans to lay out the debate and force one of their own?

Every single dem should be unified in the message. Bush broke the law. Republicans want to allow him to do it. Just like Russ said - THIS IS A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS.

Our government HAS been taken over. Not in the process of being taken over. It HAS been taken over.

And, the democrats won't even point it out. Many won't even admit to themselves.
