These crimes pale in comparison to Bush's crimes, and the rest of his administration's ploys to use the various forms of government actions to make money personally. Rumsfeld has made big money from the flu vaccine; the company he worked for between Reagan and now in which he owns stock has made a fortune. He recently sold stock and made 5 million in profits.

Bush and other cronies within the administration have made huge sums from the war, and from oil.

All of that being said, it is amazing that this guy, who made around 150 grand a year, would be so incredibly stupid as to do that. But it is the culture club of corruption.

Ahh, yes, Claude Allen flashback/update ...

In the early days of the Katrina Debacle, the White House response was being coordinated by none other than Claude Allen.

Logical choice, of course: get your guy in charge of abstinence education and school prayer policy and banning abortion to run disaster management.

Maybe he was too busy waiting in the return line at Hecht's to focus on the hurricane stuff.
