1. Such simple truths... yet, I don't know how to get 30 some percent
of Americans--so called "Christians"-- to read this, to hear this, to think through this. A signficant minority of Americans have simply given over the thinking process to those who would "lead them."

How it could be so, I could never explain....

17. That's the purpose of Religion for too many people...
to have someone else do their thinking for them. :(

5. The only part I really liked:
Reading the Bible doesn't make the world a better place. Going to church doesn't save lives or feed the hungry. God doesn't care about our devotion to scripture, he cares about our devotion to each other. That's why he sent me here. Not to save man from sin, but to save man from himself. That is the meaning of salvation.

This sounds more like Jesus than the rest of it, IMO.

Thanks for sharing that.

6. Thanks! I'm thinking all the fundies should read this.
Then all we'd have to worry about is if they can comprehend it.

...while it picks its pockets.

10. Thank you.
I just sent this to a repuke relative who is always sending me racist rants/pro-* emails, yet she claims to be a good Christian. Also sent it to a friend who used to be a 'wild child' but after she married a Baptist, she has somehow had a huge memory loss as to the person she was before she met him. She is now perfect in her own eyes and I think this email will blow her mind. Am I bad to do that?

Am also sending it to my former church (Episcopalian) where they toot the * and war horn in their monthly newsletters. Wish I could see their faces when they read this. :)

12. That is awesome.
My husband has a Christian friend who sends him freeper spam every day, intermingled with prayers and the occasional off-color joke.

I am REQUIRING my husband to send this to his friend TODAY.

19. I gave Jesus some web design advice.
The dark cloud background makes it hard to read some of His words. I also told Him that I hope His cable-acccess talk show in South Park, Colorado gets syndicated.
