Anyone notice that CNN ads are pushing religion???
I've had the waste of airtime called Anderson Cooper 360 (covering breathless topics such as a Colorado wildfire - this show is just completely insignificant)....and within 10 min, an ad pushing a hymns CD - then, another selling a bible....I guess that they are trying to convert the left wing heathens who venture into watching CNN???

And - I am a Christian, I have no problem with religion...but I just found this a bit odd. (not that anything is NOT odd these days!)

15. There should be an informal count.
This morning on GMA, they keep saying many religious keywords, like Pray, God, etc. and the are even covering some trail whether Jesus ever existed. Good grief. Maybe there should be a count one day of each morning show to see how many times any relgious keywords are used, of any religion, just to see what the heck is going on.

7. WNWJAO?
What Network Would Jesus Advertize On?

The stupid fundies are too ignorant to realize they've been turned from a religious movement into another 'consumer group' -- a bunch of sheeple, ready to be fleeced ...

9. Yes I have... and that's not all...
there's frequent religious or biblical references passing on to others in reporting - and it really bothers me.

What's next, are we going to be subjected to advertisents for Wiccan services (or whatever it is they do)Buddahism, Hari Krisna's? How about the Moonies too? Is CNN now the Christian News Network?

I want straight news please with no religiousity or scriptures read in these reports.

12. I doubt it
From what I've seen, Wiccans, Buddhists, Hari Krisnas and the like don't feel the need to advertise themselves in the manner that fundies do. They don't have an overwhelming need to proselytize and innundate the very lives of everybody in America. Only the fundies think that they have the duty I(and the right) to foist themselves upon every facet of American society.

13. Yes, I noticed that, too!
I thought that it might of had something to do with what happened in West Virginia. People praising God when they thought the miners were alive, then publicly wondering if there really is a God when it turned out to be false.

"Oh no! If people are losing faith, they may not buy as many of our various Jesus souvenirs and that would cut into our profits!!!"

16. Actually, It was probably a local cable broadcast insert

ad thast was likely running in multiple markets. All cable netroks provide specific interals for your local cable providers to seell advertising for.

My guess is that CNN provides ltss more of these in prime time and over night then during the day.

Hell I have also seen phone sex ads on CNN in the wee hours of the morning.

17. Not just the ads
Baba Wawas goes looking for "Heaven", Diane Sawyer, the former investigative reporter who brought down the scumbag Bob Tilton goes looking for "Pope Joan", The Discovery Channel goes looking for "the Historic Jeebus", and refuses to present the findings that the Shroud of Turin is FAKE, and DAILY, we're presented with Il Douche assuring everyone that "Murka is Praying" for one damn thing or another.

yeah, we're becoming a "Christian Nation" no matter what our founding fathers intended. I wonder what Deists like Franklin and Jefferson would think about how they converted to Christianity after they died?

Poppy Bush says "I don't think Atheists should even be Citizens".

And the Buy-Bull crap just keeps pouring out of the Glass Tit, forming Public Opinion.
