* birthday card I saw today.
I was shopping at my local grocery store and I saw a * card. HE was all prim and proper in his mission accomplished suit and waving to the crowd. The wording (I am doing this from memory and a poor memory at that) on the front said Happy Birthday from the Commander In Chief and Leader of the Free World.

On the inside it said........

Wait for it.......

Wait...........

And you thought your biggest problem was growing old.

Just wanted to share, when I saw it I thought of my DU family.

7. I think Target sells them.
You might ask Claude Allen to pick a few up for you. I hear he can get them cheap.

But seriously, I've seen them there.

21. OOOOOOOOHHHHH, I love that picture of John Lennon. Somehow I
doubt that he'd be pimping for a brokerage firm in his older years.

I somehow think that he'd have stayed true to himself.

...but I'm not the only one.

I love the entire Imagine video, of course, but this quite a fine representative still.

35. Your thoughts on John are awful cute
God bless him! I picture him being more of a radical Bono. Perhaps doing a benefit concert in Dubai (UAE) with Michael Jackson to raise money for CITGO to give free gas to New Orleans... that sort of thing.

I could see him sellin shit, tongue and cheek, just like Jerry Garcia (Jerry, when asked to advertise his line of ties by wearing one, replied, "Fuck no. It is bad enough that I let you sell them.")

5. Perfect...sadly. I
recently celebrated a big b'day and received a * card (in jest, I trust).
Front: Pic of dimson drawn in pencil, "You're not getting older
Inside sentiment: You're getting more distinguishabler.

The blivet is even taking a beating in the card aisles!

I looked at it with much fear, not sure whether it would be for or against *. I am glad I ending up looking at it. My day was rushed and had not been much fun until then, but all you need is one thing to turn your day around and make everything better from there on out.

31. There may not be an inside. It was part of the artist's portfolio on his
website, showing off examples of his comic art work. It may never have been printed up as a birthday card by a publisher, and even if it had been, I don't know how one could locate it without going through every greeting card publisher's inventory.

Perhaps you should do your own thread and ask people to provide the inside words. That might be fun - almost like a caption this sort of thing.

18. I got two, a bday and a thank-you
I recycled the bday one already, but it was a pic of ** on the front, saying, "Getting older? Why not just lie about your age?" and on the inside it said, "It worked for me and WMD!"

This one I saved tho:

Inside it simply says, "Thank you."

26. I wonder if they have any of these online as e-cards.
If they do them in paper then you have to think they do them electronically. I like the three words birthday card. A belated happy birthday to you.

the front had no words, just ronnie ray-gun at his desk in the oval office, playing with a toy tank and jet.

The inside read, "This was the scariest card I could find."

Almost 2 years ago - he lives in the Washington, DC suburbs so usually has a great selection of political type cards.

Glad to see it's making it's way into grocery stores!

40. Hilarious...it's the card I gave my husband last month
and the most amazing thing about it was that it was right in the front display of the cards at the Walgreen's down the road in Beaumont, which is a very fundie-conservative town! There were several others as well with pictures of him and jokes that mostly made fun of how incompetent he was. Kudos to whoever got those on the shelves!
