2. THEY SEE IT
They just choose to ignore it. To the Republicans in Congress it's all about keeping power, and they all realize that BushCo is the reason that they hold all the cards. Going after Bush would be like shooting the goose that laid the golden eggs, so in there world of idiotcy and cowardice, a blow job is much worse then the intentional lies that have resulted in a weakened military, corruption, and the total lack of genuine concern for those most in need of assistance.

But, let's not forget those on the other side that keep enabling the Republicans by either going along to get along, or believing in keeping their powder dry for soemthing much more important.

3. Bu$h has committed much more serious crimes then any president
in our history IMHO, he's just fortunate to have a republican house and senate. No oversight by the house means he gets away with his crimes, unless the people stand up and demand accountability he's protected.

4. bush has not been impeached
because of "conservative" values. Its okay for him to lie because he is making us safer by doing so, and those who value life often make exceptions, so just because thousands and thousands are dying in Iraq is no big deal because most of them are not christian and dying in Iraq is what our kids signed up for. And there is no nasty sex involved. "Conservatives" apparently don't have sex. And Clinton made "conservatives" feel so low and stupid and lacking in self esteem just by thinking of themselves. And toss in the "conservative" value of hate. There you have it.

6. Exactly. Clinton perjured himself in a civil court matter. No one died.
Bush has been directly responsible for untold numbers of deaths due to his lies and mishandling of 9/11, Iraq and Katrina, just to mention a few. When he is impeached or resigns (because I feel it is coming) I hope he will be held accountable for the damage he has done to our country and around the world.

:grr:

8. Exactly the reason 2006 is so important......
There can be no impeachment until we take the House and
Senate.

9. We only need
the House for impeachment. But to convict and remove from office we need 2/3 of the Senate. We're not going to get that. But, at least, with the House we can launch independent investigations, and dig up facts so that the American public no longer can think we're blowing hot air out our asses.

14. perjury
Clinton perjured himself about a legal personal matter between two consenting adults.

He lied about something inconsequential as far as doing his job goes.

I always felt it was like being put under oath and being asked if you picked your nose. What leader of the free world would answer a question like that truthfully. And why should he be expected to?

-85%

the repubs have a neat solution to avoid Clinton's fate; NEVER TESTIFY UNDER OATH! Just because we lie about everything and have since inauguration day 2001 does not mean we aren't telling the truth to you now. Give me five minutes with Bush under oath and I could take down his whole administration!

Anything and everything he does is, by definition, perfectly ok.

(have I mentioned yet today how much I HATE THESE PEOPLE?)

13. Bushco crimes versus Clinton
One of the most dangerous aspects of what's happened within the shift to the right in America is how it's occurred on so many levels; 24/7 propaganda "news," the manipulation of the public mind regarding any number of economic issues, as well as basic standards of living. All actively working to undermine and subvert people's natural moral tendency toward solidarity and concern for the welfare of others.

The most difficult task in raisning awareness is getting the people to understand that they're living within systems of oppression and domination ..no small task when there is a sort of cultural/official seal of approval regarding distorted perceptions of "reality."

It becomes very "Orwellian" in that truths are officially deemed lies, while lies are promoted at every turn as given truths. With such nefarious systems in place with a vast media apparatus used as Big Brother's public relations vehicle for dispensing unreality, over a period of time, fewer and fewer people are capable of discerning shit from shinola. Who benefits? Power.
