he is forced to make a rush trip from the WH to Crawford to vote before 7PM tonight!

Boy, those staffers are screwing up all the time lately, huh?

WASHINGTON, DC, United States (UPI) -- U.S. President George Bush`s aides failed to register him for an absentee ballot in Tuesday`s GOP primary in Texas, forcing a rush trip from the White House.

Bush will dash from a sit-down with the Russian foreign minister in order to vote in Crawford by 7 p.m. Tuesday, the Dallas Morning News reports.

3. That was done "accidently on purpose" IMO so he can hide out
for a few more days. They are in big deep crap and the only plan they have is to minimize his public exposure.

15. $56,000/hr
3 hours down plus 3 hours back and whatever it took to get to and from the airport in DC and the time screwing around in Crawford and whatever that ground time cost. I guess more like a half a million! That's right $500,000 USD.

Good thing we have plenty of money.

14. This is personal business. He needs to belly up the cash for
this himself. He can dock his flunkies checks until they pay for it.

And if Pickles rides, she needs to pay too.

23. I don't see any way he can spin this as other than a political trip.
I'll bet the RNC has to pay this one.

Of course he could go make a speech at Ft. Hood, or something and make it not just political, but he wouldn't do that.

Nah, he wouldn't do that.

:sarcasm:

26. Yep, that's it.
It's also why he spends so much time there on vacation. Private property inaccessible to the public, and he can keep aides and SS at a distance, which is something he cannot do at the WH.

22. Is There Any Way To Find Out
if he ends up paying the bill? Like making a stink about it? Can anyone ask the GAO or whoever takes care of making him pay for these extra trips? At least in Crawford he can't screw up the world...perhaps.

19. Don't ya think the WH MUST be in total disarray?
I realize this is just a dumb little thing, but it's also something that would be delegated to some low level newbie who wouldn't be preoccupied with a lot of other duties.

With all the mistakes they've been making lately, I'm sure cohos abounds!
