Russia tells Hamas to recognize Israel...
'MOSCOW (Reuters) - Palestinian election winner Hamas must recognize Israel's right to exist and abide by interim peace deals with the Jewish state, Russia told the militant group during a first day of talks on Friday.

Russia also said Hamas had said it was prepared to continue abiding by a year-old ceasefire it has largely stuck to if Israel did not use force. Israel says it requires military action to prevent attacks by militants.'

I've thought that since the end of the cold war.

5. do you really trust Condi to do that? NO FFFFFF way.
she is an embarrassment as secretary of state and she has no clue about today's Russia.

your premise is right. Your idea is right. But we do not have the people in place to make it happen. (Bolton? Rice? Rumsfeld? Cheney? Wolfowitz? Feith? Bush?)

sad, but our government is run by arrogant, inept, unrealistic greedy bastards. They could not tie their shoe for the good of the country long term.

Oh that was a sovietologist wasn't it. Bridgit was right, down with the crapheads! And they tried to tell us the adults were going to be in charge, when was that going to happen, 2008, maybe. But not if Diebold gets to play though...

13. she wrote one long paper on 1970s USSR economic policy, based
on a CIA approved translation given to colleges and grad schools, with no extra effort to figure out the here and now of Russia . As you stated, Russia is a very different place from the USSR. It would be like comparing America of the early 1830s with the colonies of the 1750s.
That and her pathetic 1 yr of high school russian makes her an expert? bullshit. I personally have been there much more often than she since the 1970s. In fact, her first trip was as secretary of state. Ever.

The only thing that made her a sovietologist was the necessary spin and PR to place her as Bush's NSA handler and channeler of all ideas Cheney and Rummy.

She is absolutely up to par of most other BUSH appointees - meaning she is way out of her league and hasn't a clue about what needs to be done and and how to go about doing it. Just remember, the rest of the world lauughs at her - and us - when she lectures them.

10. Perhaps Russia will recognize the Jewish religion now?
Instead of leading the Christian world in anti-Semitism.

They're not the Soviet Union anymore.
