Federal contractors in the U.S. have contracts with various UAE fiefdoms for consulting services. After all, when they sell petro for dollars, they have to spend those dollars on something. In just one area (Internet/network consulting) they've been spending hundreds of millions on their infrastructure over many years.

tricky position to be in, since his wife opposes the deal and it is prob. good politics to oppose the deal but i'm not sure i necessarily oppose it myself

if dubai's economic success is dependent on usa's economic success, and we are entwined together economically, then we are not going to be attacking one another militarily, correct?

NAFTA and other supposed "free trade" deals. He bought the GOPs issues so they would like him , I guess. (that worked real well) And this Dubai issue now belongs on that list of stupid issues he supported.
