I propose a change. WE should be red! Red is the color of the port side, the LEFT side, in both aviation and maritime applications (navigation or running lights). Green is the starboard, or right side. Give that to the right. Let the damn greens come up with another color. Maybe red. Know what I mean Vern?

4. Blue is calm .. status quo.
Red is the blood it will take to re-claim this country (and I am serious as a motherfucking heart attack!) Again, Vern?

3. I'd actually prefer if we were Purple
Purple is my favorite color, as it represents the equivalence and balance between the warm colors and the cool colors, and therefore reflects oneness.

But I also like being Blue: it is the color most people consider their favorite, it is the one most associated with peaceful feelings, and since the sky is blue, it evokes a sense of optimism. Red, on the other hand, is perceived as being aggressive, is more commonly favored by children than adults, and is associated with danger and fire.

5. I'm purple - I embrace most blue causes, but I do have some red leanings..
...I'm just not simple enough to be red or blue. I'm purple. Most times I side with blue, tho.

12. Purple is great in a time of peace. It is an ecumenical color.
It is the color associated with Jesus Christ. But I stick by my red/green, left/right, port/starboard, color schemes. Yes I do!

8. I LOVE being blue!
I'm certain the repubs wish they could have it -- red is communism, blood, etc.

Blue is the most popular "favorite color" of Americans. It's the color of honesty and hard work. Yay!

9. Used to alternate
I actually saw a TV special a few years ago that said it used to alternate between election years.I think it's too set in people's minds now

10. actually didn't "alternate, one color was for the incumbent

and the other for the challenger, I think blue was incumbent. Thusly Gore was blue in 2000 based on Democrats having the white house.
