UMWA responds to disaster
The top man with the United Mine Workers of America says there is no excuse for the mishandling of information about the Sago Mine disaster in Upshur County.

Appearing on MetroNews Talkline Wednesday, Cecil Roberts was audibly shaken himself as he talked about the time it took to correct a report that a dozen coal miners, trapped for more than 40-hours, had been found alive.

1. He's right
There is also no excuse for 270 safety violations which never got corrected. If there was a Union in there, at least there probably would have been something done about the violations. Then the men would have had a chance.

3. Didn't see the poll
But the answer is yes. Why is it a stupid poll? Nothing wrong with praying for the safety of fellow human beings.

6. No problem with prayer here
but I think the point is the question is a distraction from the real issue, rather than ask hard questions of the mine owner etc.

5. Prayer is a personal activity...
Edited on Wed Jan-04-06 07:30 PM by Lost-in-FL
And I find it quite ridiculous to post a question like that in news media outlet that is not a Religious site... I think there are better questions specially in times like this.

ACTIONS does more than 1000 prayers.
