11. As was pointed out yesterday: what reliable media would that be?
Big thanks to Havocmom for dragging us kicking and screaming to our senses.

Take your pick: newsmax, drudge, capitol hill blues, msnbc, nyt. It's all bullshit in varying degrees and flavors. Perhaps one can search bylines in order to evaluate veracity, but from the official MSM to the unofficial crap journalism web sites, bullshit and disinformation and infotainment reign supreme.

Does the NYT need a new moto: "All the news that shit says we can print."

5. If they spent as much time managing the country as they
do managing the news maybe we wouldn't be in this mess. Than again maybe it would be worse.

6. It's not just a changed headline
It's a mis-quote of what the U.S. envoy said. He said "Civil War"

8. Don't tell me anyone is really surprised by this, please don't
tell me. My disgust with the human race couldn't be much greater than it is now. I certainly expect more from people here, anyway most of you.

12. The talking heads should enjoy this
I was gonna rent a movie tonight, but between the (not really)Civil War, and the stories about stories about the (not really)Civil War, I think it'll be more entertaining to watch the talkers.

15. does their management have ANY integrity?
This change, and the rewrite brotherjohn noted on the Katrina story.

This is despicable. Are they basically the WH press office, north division?

Why in the hell are their editors allowing them to publish articles, then completely rewriting them online with all criticism of the Bush administration scrubbed?

I am so appalled.
