7. Okay... I hate to say this cuz the porn-lovers will be pissed..

BUT.. my 60-something Mom has stopped using the public internet at the library. SHe's a DUer and a lifelong liberal. WHY would she stop using the free internet at the library?? Because every time she uses the computer, she is flanked on each side by a boy or man viewing hardcore porn on the computers next to her. The computers are close enough that it's obvious what they are viewing and what you are viewing... for any woman, that is a totally uncomfortable, and intolerable situation to deal with just to use a computer at the library. It happened to me once, as well. I've talked to all my female friends and they ALL say the same thing, they would be creeped out and uncomfortable sitting next to a man viewing hard core porn in the library. The library is NOT the place to view porn. Sorry.. it's not. You cannot check out pornographic videos or books there, you should not be able to access it at the library. Children use the SAME internet terminals as the adults in all libraries. So.. as parents, would you all feel comfortable having your 10 year old daughter flanked by two men viewing hard core porn for sexual arousal???? Cuz there's no other reason to view it. And viewing it in a public place? That smacks of sexual addiction.

someone was viewing porn. I can not help but wonder if HLS isn't monitoring every single library computer in this country. The government has many secret spy programs and would it honestly surprise any of us if they are monitoring these places? I think there may be a bigger story here.
