I'll tell you where Letterman nailed O'Reilly
Dave shows exactly how to handle O'Reilly, and he's the only one I've seen done it. Donahue might be the exception.

Dave listens to O'Reilly's war (on Christmas) stories, then:

Dave: Yeah, yeah, I don't believe you.

O'Reilly: It's true!

Dave: No, I just don't believe you.

O'Reilly: You know I'm telling the truth.

Dave: No, you're not.

O'Reilly: You think I'm making this up?

Dave: I do, I think you're making it up.

1. It really was perfect wasn't it?
That is what they do to us and funny thing, it shuts them up too.

2. Then O'Loofah recited every lie about every district
and school system that he's used on his show, every lie out of that stupid book he's been thumping like it's a new babble. Letterman was a little unprepared, should have seen it coming and cited the snopes.com debunking, along with statements from the districts and schools that have been slandered by these pigs.

Letterman let him get away with a lot. Stupid people heard those lies go by unquestioned and read tacit approval into them.

9. I disagree
debunking is an important job, and it's great we have people like MediaMatters.org, etc.

But for Dave, just flatly and assuredly dismissing him as a phony is the exact right approach.

20. I completely agree
Dave was playing on his own turf. When he said "I don't believe you" it was like clearing the table of O'R spew with a single sweep of his forearm. Balletic, I thought.

night. For once, it was good to see O'Reilly just have to sit there and take it. I loved it when Letterman told him he was full of crap.

4. I bet that it felt great to tell O'Liely the truth on national TV.
I love David Letterman. I started watching him when he had a morning show back in the late 1970s.

7. I was greatly concerned about the outlawing of red and green colors
which was mentioned- if its true, talk about an erosion of our most deeply held moral values. :sarcasm:
It didn't even deserve to be responded to, and it wasn't.

E-mail sent to parents in the Plano, TX school district

Dear Plano ISD eNews Subscribers:

On Friday, December 9, on the Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor," with Bill O'Reilly and guest Jim Pinkerton, Fox 4 News analyst, it was falsely reported in a segment entitled "More Victories for Christmas" that ...

....."In Plano, Texas, a school told students they couldn't wear red and
green because they are Christmas colors."......

Due to the number of e-mails, inquiries and phone calls to Plano ISD
regarding students "wearing red and green," Superintendent of Schools
Dr. Doug Otto is e-mailing this communication to eNews subscribers (and has posted this message on the PISD website) to assure the school community that this rumor is false.

"The school district does not restrict students or staff from wearing certain color clothes during holiday times or any other school days," noted Dr. Otto, who said that the school district's attorney has requested that Mr. O'Reilly retract the statement.

Dr. Otto said that our attorney requested of Mr. O'Reilly that, in the
future, he ask his fact checkers to do a more thorough job of confirming the facts before he airs them.

"It would be our hope that you would engage in fair and balanced reporting of this nationally recognized school district in the future," PISD's attorney wrote to Mr. O'Reilly.

13. has anyone debunked red and green napkins?
and plates or whatever it was? Not that I give a rat's behind but just to shut up O'Reilly types.

I bet on that Memphis thing, they wanted to take up the whole damn library with a nativity scene or it wasn't a group related to the school or he just made the whole thing up!

"I reject the premise."
I'm not going to engage you in your silly stories about red and green paper in a Texas high school, because I reject your premise that there's a war on Christmas. You made that up. Now knock it off.

12. Everytime O'Reilly tried to trap Dave
Dave either brought the conversation back on topic (like with Iraq, when he tried to get Dave to argee with him that terrorists are bad therefore everything bush does is good) or said he didn't believe him, like with the Christmas thing. Donahue defeated him by staying on topic and not allowing his silly tangents also. We can learn alot from both.

25. Dave had the studio audience in his palm.
I was a bit disturbed by their response to O'Liely's "Noble" and "Freedom Fighter" touchscreen entries.

Bill O'Reilly is one of the *avaricious ruling elite's prized propagandists. Dave smacked him upside he haid!:rofl::rofl:
