Did they all of a sudden give up on our leaders being role models for our children ? I heard it all through the nineties. Clinton was teaching our kids godawful things.

So why the about face on the values?

I think its time we started using the issues theyve given us.

Along with Trust, Under Control, Natural Law, Resolve, Confident, Firm, Leader. The attempt to imbue poor defenceless words with affect which people are conditioned to have brainstem reactions to. Ignore the higher brain function, and rely on pattern matching and imitation and modeling to drive human behavior. People given an effective lobotomy via conditioning do not present a threat as independent thinkers to those who would seek to control and exploit them. Believe that we are all just animals.

(For the historically inclined: is this not just a repetition but a recapitulation in the psychological sense of the naturalism which arose out of the reactionaries' response to the American and French revolutions and the Napoleonic wars ?
