1. If a disaster hits my city, the Bush administration will let me die.
Which is what they did, actually, by lying about the air quality in Manhattan, I suppose. Millions of us were breathing the air with no protection and it did not smell good.

I used to use my inhaler about three times a year, now I refill it every few months. Not a huge difference, really. Only a noticeable one. And I wasn't working on Wall Street, where they went back almost immediately.

We didn't have to rely on FEMA because we still had our homes and infrastructure. We saved ourselves.

But FEMA and BushCo screwed our small business people and gave their loan money to huge banks. And the Donald.

If it had been worse...we would have been New Orleans. Because they had no plans to help us survive.

2. We have discussed this.

Knowledgeable folks - who are not political activists but are community activists (church, volunteer fire department, Red Cross, United Way, cancer drive, etc.) are the most concerned.

Among this demographic there is an understanding that the real terror issue (dirty bomb, major conflagration, etc.) is remediation and mitigation. Also, among this demographic (and much thanks to the community training efforts of the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, the Southern Baptists, the Latter Day Saints, FEMA's , and local Fire Departments) there is a very clear understanding that the "Natural Disaster Remediation and Mitigation Skill Set" and the "Terrorism Remediation and Mitigation Skill Set" are pretty much the same skill sets.

These people feel that Katina shows that DHS is not ready for either terrorism or a major natural disaster.

This demographic is a "More Likely to Vote Repub then Dem -- but not cast in concrete."

(We live in the San Andreas Fault - Hayward Fault area - earthquakes and fire storms are a common concern - and we know Bush and FEMA won't do beans)

3. GOP has become the Howling Mad Party
Good lord, look at this approval/disapproval spread:

Republican 81% 15% 4%

That's all there is to it -- it's the sane versus the insane now. 81% of the Republicans are just flat insane.
