Poll question: Pre-Election '08 DU Poll:
Edited on Thu Feb-16-06 08:43 PM by KoKo01
If it comes down to Hillary vs. Kerry and those are the only two top Dem Candidates left standing...which one would you support?

I'm not including Dark Horses or Gore or anyone else...just trying to guage what my fellow DU'ers are lining up in support for right now.

Please don't reply if you are "Other" ...just want a clean "two candidate" poll here. We could do "Other" later.

If you can't resist then okay, but it will muck it up. Please if you are for "other" just hold your vote and pass this by....

3. Kerry.
He should be the nom for the same reasons Gore should have run again in 04.

His campaign slogan should be, "can you hear me now?"

He will be successful this time.. How can he not.. I am sure most people who voted for bush are kicking themselves now for not voting for the best candidate....

5. If you are not for the above two just hold your vote....as I said I didn't
put in "Other" right now...just to gauge the Partisans on DU who already have their mind made up or those who feel if it's down to those two then if you had to choose which one would it be. You could vote as a "Last Resort Vote" without losing your "Principles for Other" because it's an EARLY POLL..so don't get wired up that there's no other, for the purposes of THIS very early poll.

See, I just couldn't let this thread run too long without bringing up Clark. I really need to find me a good cult deprogrammer. But dammit I love that man.

Aw, shit, I voted for Kerry but if he runs I hope Dean positions someone to kick him in the nuts every time he even looks to the right.

7. Jesus.
I'm not answering this.

I'd go with Kerry, but it's still ridiculous. Definition of insanity.

I doubt I'd vote. I would, however, vote happily for either of them in the general election.

20. President Kerry over Senator Clinton for me. I have no idea if
Kerry will run again but if the primary choice comes down to the two in your poll, I'll take the Senator from Massachusetts.

21. Well, someone finally figured out how to get me to vote for Kerry
I'd still vote for Hillary over any Republican (except maybe a resurrected Sonny Bono). But the consequences of her nomination continues to spook me. Too many Republicans seem to want us to nominate her. She wouldn't be a bad president, but I just don't think she could close the deal

27. Interesting...80% of DU'ers who have ONLY TWO CHOICES...choose
Kerry....(and I know that many DU'ers passed this by holding their noses)

I'll do another poll with Clarkies and others getting their chance..just for fun...because this isn't a "Scientific Poll" but think that we DU'ers really need to poll ourselves from time to time...for some perspective...that's all I'm doing here..

29. Kerry
I'm a Clarkie but if came down to these two then its Kerry hands down. If Hillary gets the nod, we're gonna have another Repuke in the oval office. It'll be over before it even starts.

31. huh? YOU *ARE* KIDDING...RIGHT?
We need a Democrat to win office.
One that is a Democrat and one who will not step away from the dirtiest fight in the history of the United States of America.
Hillary is a Republican
Kerry is great, and a hero. But he voted for NAFTA and succumbs to evil in the name of undeserved civility.
