At what time of the night did Mrs. Armstrong
first call the Corpus Christi Caller-Times?

Was it Saturday or Sunday?

2. Sunday morning
She started trying around 9 or 9:30 and got a call back from the reporter later that day - maybe 11:00?

4. According to the reporter from Caller-Times Mrs.
Armstrong started trying to reach a close personal reporter friend at the paper Sunday morning at 8:00 am. When Armstrong could not reach her friend she spoke with the reporter on weekend duty - the young woman we have seen interviewed. She is a life style/health/fitness reporter. That conversation took place between 11:00 am and noon on Sunday.

he/she won't find anything in the paper for that morning.

9. Reporter was interviewed by Keith or Tweety on MSNBC - I think it was
Monday evening.

Regarding your toad-headed friend - have him produce a copy of story from the CC newspaper on Sunday. Should be interesting since he can't do it.

Even if the newspaper had been called Saturday evening after the accident it still probably would not have made the Sunday morning paper.

their site.....yep, she got call a bit after 11 am....then said she called the WH, and they said the press office was closed till, monday.... and she said wait a minute, i have to confirm the VP shot someone... then they put her through to an unnamed person who confirmed it. they posted story at 1:30 PM.
she was a cute little thing, she said she had to look up the # for the whitehouse, KO said hey, this is how Bernstein started, with a tiny thing.

10. Found my answer!
The Corpus Christi Caller-Times has a timeline of the whole incident.

Mrs. Armstrong attempted to call them at 8AM.

12. Right, and
The first story was posted on the paper's Web site at 1:48 p.m. CST Sunday.

It missed the morning print edition.

16. reporter
What Armstrong really wanted to do is call her bestest friend who works at the paper, but
he wasn't there.

It would have been easier to get him to print whatever she wanted him to print.

She ended up talking to the lifestyle reporter, who seems like a lovely person, but probably
isn't going to ask all the questions a seasoned reporter would.

She did a good job though in pressing the White House.

She was on KO, Monday night.

18. Even that story has holes. If she is his good friend why doesn't she...
...have his home number or cell number?
