Memo to GOP Senators: "We'll hold our hands behind our backs & you can it us as hard as you can with Katrina, just shut-up about holding Domestic Spying Hearings. MSM will have permission to give your Katrina Report headline status."

2. We've just got to dig our heels in until November.
Then, it's time for the Equalizers to take over.

3. I noticed the pundits on TV made a point of saying this would
be a "politically losing issue" for the Dems this year

4. How in the hell can investigating a crime be a "politically losing
issue"?

This whole country has gone fucking insane!

5. I don't think it is
Even with the terrible job the media did explaining it, it was still polling better than 50% in favor of an investigation.
It's the power of suggestion.......keep repeating matter of factly: losing issue.

8. Memo was my imagination
However, I'd bet next weeks pay that's how it went. If your only choice is among stories that make them look bad, Bushco might as well encourage everyone to hammer away at the issue that merely highlights their incompetence. Better that than a deliberate criminal conduct issue. Neither is an attractive option for them but I believe the Administration was getting desperate to get the Domestic Spying story out of the headlines.

9. Politically losing? The media is going off the deep end
How can this be politically losing? Are Americans truly to the point where we just don't care unless it affects us directly? Are we so shortsighted that we can't see what's further down the road?

Good grief, what a lazy, complacent people we have become. Being an American used to give you a sense of pride, a sense of honor. It looks like that's all gone, now. It's easier to drive foreign cars, shop at Wal-Mart, and hope that the boogieman doesn't come for you in the middle of the night, even when all your neighbors have already been carted off. Sad.

10. We need to raise our voices like we did on Alito, only a hundred
times louder!

If we lose this fight America's freedom is toast, FOREVER!
