Abramoff is in full damage control mode, pleading guilty and offering only a few minor players in the hope of satisfying the terms of a deal which may keep him in jail until Stupid pardons him on his way out of office.

Whether or not he's allowed to do this will depend entirely on the judge and on the investigation team. My guess is that he'll have to cough up more than he wants to, but it will still stop short of getting the entire GOP indicted under the RICO statutes (something I'm surprised hasn't happened to Abramoff, or maybe that's what was threatened).
