what happened? I know he's donated to shrubco and all, but is he really Cheney's friend?

I guess a billion dollars of Coalition Provisional Authority money could show up in his bank account, but he's old and rich and doesn't really need it...

What if he were pissed off, and either planned to sue, or failing that, at least not support the complete spin provided by the ranch heiress, Alan Simpson, and company?

I wouldn't expect this, but it could get rather messy if this happened.

2. If
when he seemed about to recover, he suddenly felt the icy hand of death upon him (Monty Python), we'll be able to figure that something isn't quite on the up and up.

3. Could have been an accident
or there could be more to the story. Cheney gets away with everything.

4. They had never hunted together before. I think they're "acquaintances".

I do NOT buy that they are "good friends".

They were on a double date, I suspect it is the two women they were with that have the close friendship. After all, the female Ambassador to Switzerland is from TX and has long ties to the TX GOP. Her husband (where was he BTW?) is a doctor in Austin.
