HEADS UP: The Abramoff plea deal apparently names names
Reporters apparently have a copy of the plea deal, and that deal has the names of the Congressfolk involved.

It isn't up anywhere yet, so keep an eye out.

Note: The .pdf on the WaPo site is the charge, not the plea deal.

1. Can you clue us into any names besides Dorgan
Since the media is only mentioning the one and only Democratic politician I suppose is named.

Though if he got a plea deal, he must have served up some real meat and potatoes, real actionable info on high-interest people.

5. Nobody's mentioned Reid since the Plea deal announcement this morning
I'm supposing Reid was a red herring. Nobody has pulled out his name since this morning's plea deal was announced as far as I know, only Dorgan's.

Edited on Tue Jan-03-06 03:34 PM by George Oilwellian
At least according to the WaPo article:

DeLay has taken three overseas trips with Abramoff since 1997 -- to the Mariana Islands, Moscow and the United Kingdom -- and received more than $70,000 from Abramoff, his associates and tribal clients for his campaign committees.

Not from the plea deal, but those "battling allegations"....

Besides Representative DeLay, who is already under indictment in Texas, other members who are already battling allegations over their associations with Abramoff include Sen. Conrad Burns (R) of Montana, Rep. Bob Ney (R) of Ohio, and Rep. John Doolittle (R) of California.

81. We now have the fertilizer, time to plant the crops
Time to make the donuts

Time to hoe the Field

Time to shell the nuts

Time to hammer the nails

Time to close the coffin

Time to bake the cookies

Make hay while the sun shines

Wash our sorrows away

Bury the hatchet

83. My only regret
is that WC Fields is no longer alive. I think it is time to make a documentary on the moral fiber of the republicans in congress, and I am convinced that Fields would have been the single best actor for such a work of art.

85. To be fair
he was just driving the get-away car. Once pulled over by the police, after a desperate attempt to get away, the driver was able to identify his partner in crime. This defines nobility .... at least in some circles.
