Did anyone see Jesse Ventura on Donny Deutsch
last night on CNBC? Ventura said something to the effect that you can't win a war on terror if people allow themselves to be perpetual fear. He also said that a few trained killers (snipers) could bring the country to a standstill and nothing can be done to prevent it. Essentially, there is absolutlely no reason to give up any of our liberty for protection. Why? Because we cannot be protected. Meanwhile, the supposed "liberal" Deutsch argued and interrupted him throughout the appearance. Maybe Donny is predenting to be a journalist?

2. I didn't see it. I wish I would have. I like Jesse.
Sure, I know he's a nut sometimes, but he makes a lot of sense far more often!

3. My feelings on this can be summed up in one sentence.
I would rather die in a terrorist attack than live for one second in the kind of a country that these sick, neo-con fucks are trying to transform us into.

5. Ventura has a visceral hatred of Bush/Cheney
more palpable than many Democrats.

Why? He comes in from a Libertarian/veteran/secularist perspective.

In that interview, he had the courage to repeatedly call them what they are - "chickenhawks" who are using their power to enrich their corporate masters.

As a Navy Seal and a rationalist (he called religion a "crutch") he speaks his mind. The theocratic chickenhawk Bush prigs have an enemy with the balls that could never allow himself to be Swiftboated.

Viva Jesse!

6. I saw only several minutes of it, and wondered
what Jesse's DU name is.

Deutsch is a "liberal"? Never have seen the show before... I took him for a RWer, the way he kept interrupting when ever Jesse got especially interesting.
