4. YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!
Aguilera and Herbie Hancock (10 grammys) made everyone look like the untalents they are (hello...real musicians...but what do I know...Dad spent 50 years as musical conductor and both siblings are on broadway)

The tribute to New Orleans WOULD have been great if they hadn't cut it off...

5. I agree
Aguilera and Hancock both looked and sounded truly timeless. What an impressive display of musical talent.

9. While she has a great voice.........
The song was absolutley butchered, unrecognizable. I thought it was terribly done. Bruce Springsteen, on the other hand, was menmerizing.

11. I know a lot about music........
and enjoy a wide variety of music. Because I differ from you does not make me ignorant on the subject. I didn't like it, period.

14. LOL Are you serious? You forgot to use the sarcasm symbol, right?
I think people can decide what they do and don't like. I would rather slit my wrists than sit through an entire orchestra performance and it is very rare that I want to sit through a musical either (who the hell starts singing in the middle of a conversation anyway???) so you have very different taste than I do in music. I can appreciate the talent but it doesn't mean that I like listening to it. Oh and Opera...how could I forget...I hate Opera! I have enjoyed a solo performance by Yo Yo Ma. That was actually beautiful and entertaining.

Not that it really matters, but I have a couple of relatives who are musicians. One teaches violin and guitar and can play any stringed instrument. He uses fingerstyle technique (i.e. Michael Hedges) on the guitar which is very difficult to learn and he plays by ear. He also performs as well.

It has nothing to do with knowledge. It is all about preference.

13. I agree. I get really sick of all the crap that these artist do to these
songs. Just sing for God's sake. I don't want to hear how you can scream a note for 5 minutes. I like some of Christina's stuff but that was good for about the first 30 seconds and then I was bored to tears. You couldn't even follow the lyrics with all the vocal olympics going on. This is why I can't stand Miriah Carey either.

I loved Bruce! He's a legend! He was definitely mesmerizing!

I really enjoyed the Kanye West/Jamie Fox performance as well. It was fun and Kanye does write some witty & provocative lyrics.

It'll turn your heart black you can trust..."

Fear has turned our nation to dust.

I agree, Bruce.

16. DEVILS AND DUST
DEVILS AND DUST
I got my finger on the trigger
But I don't know who to trust
When I look into your eyes
There's just devils and dust
We're a long, long way from home, Bobbie
Home's a long, long way from us
I feel a dirty wind blowing
Devils and dust

I got God on my side
And I'm just trying to survive
What if what you do to survive
Kills the things you love
Fear's a powerful thing, baby
It can turn your heart black you can trust
It'll take your God filled soul
And fill it with devils and dust

Well I dreamed of you last night
In a field of blood and stone
The blood began to dry
The smell began to rise
Well I dreamed of you last night, Bobbie
In a field of mud and bone
Your blood began to dry
And the smell began to rise

We've got God on our side
We're just trying to survive
What if what you do to survive
Kills the things you love
Fear's a powerful thing, baby
It'll turn your heart black you can trust
It'll take your God filled soul
Fill it with devils and dust
It'll take your God filled soul
Fill it with devils and dust

Now every woman and every man
They wanna take a righteous stand
Find the love that God wills
And the faith that He commands
I've got my finger on the trigger
And tonight faith just ain't enough
When I look inside my heart
There's just devils and dust

Well I've got God on my side
And I'm just trying to survive
What if what you do to survive
Kills the things you love
Fear's a dangerous thing
It can turn your heart black you can trust
It'll take your God filled soul
Fill it with devils and dust
Yeah it'll take your God filled soul
Fill it with devils and dust

AND BRUCE ENDS WITH...

BRING EM HOME

BRUCE IS FROM "MY HOMETOWN!",,STILL LOVE YOU BURCE AFTER ALL THESE YEARS..FROM A JERSEY GIRL..
