I think I speak for a lot of folks here when I say that, in my opinion, Bush's domestic bugging was not a problem in and of itself. The problem is that he did it ILLEGALLY and without a court order, which is required by law.

The fact that Bush refused to accept the oversight required by the law raises an obvious question: What the HECK was he doing that he didn't want the FISA court to know about?

So, folks, please stop pretending that the "silly liberals" are arguing against surveillance of criminals and terrorists. All we want (and many on your side feel the same way) is for the president to obey the law. And if he refuses to do so, we expect the Congress to do its job and impeach him.

Just wanted to clear that up, OK?

What is conservative about polluting the planet to the point where the actual climate is altered and everything is poisoned?
What is conservative about uninvited nation building?
What is conservative about scrapping and destroying the Constitution and bill of rights.

I have tried twice to post stuff over there that was not at all "lefty," but merely a mild challenge to their orthodoxy. I really did try to be respectful of their rules and not be a "flamer." But each time, my post was deleted in (literally) less than a minute and I was unable to post again using the same user name.
