These Bushies are freaking me out....
Is anyone else out there paying attention in this country? Are these Republicans in congress nuts? With all the trouble we are having fighting in Iraq, these nuts are now saber rattling toward Iran. What the fuck is going on? Has the testosterone went straight to their heads?

1. its simple...
they all are set... they dont have to worry about gas prices, or their children getting killed..if the economy slumps, they dont have to worry.. You and I and every other person on DU worries about all the insane crap thats going on in the world for one reason. Because sooner or later we feel the effects, ether economically, or socially. However, our wonderful Representative government in DC have salaries for life, the best health care for life, connections for life..

Its not testosterone to their heads... Its because once they are sworn in they hit the 'lottery'. You cant project your own morals onto someone who has none and expect any good...

oh yeah.. Hey Bob from NSA! hows the wife?

2. perhaps not the appropriate post to respond to...
but...the SOTU address which included..."the US does not function w/out immigrants." WTF :wtf: I just don't get that comment. All the repugs immediately stood in applause. I thought that was in accorance w/agreement of the status quo. Cheap labor from south of the border...ya hoo! What was w/those poeple? Is their intent to alienate their base?

5. They essentially are rulers of the Middle East
Bush is essentially President of Iraq. They should go there and leave us alone.

6. Iran was always bigger than Iraq(not just geographically)
If you listen to what these guys say(such as Frank Gaffney), they're in it for the long term. They haven't invested this much time, effort, and money over the decades to just stop because everything hasn't gone smoothly(or maybe they wanted the violence...nah). If they go after Iran tomorrow, or 10 years from now, they don't care. Some may die eventually(although I'm not sure about Cheney and Rumsfeld), but there is always, always, someone ready to take over.

Obviously China is even bigger than Iran(not just geographically). Yeah, I know, they own us. But whites owned blacks too, and they fought back.

Iran is a pretty key cog in that region. They're a fairly big country, and they sit between the Middle East, and SE Asia.

Also, humanity/civilization is a freak show. Keep that in mind, and you won't have to ask what the fuck is going on. It'll just make sense.

who are going to go off to fight any wars. it is us and our kids. the republicans will be raptures as iran explodes their nuclear weaponry against our land and the reagan-bushes-shit about star wars proves to be a walt disney illsuion.

8. Our society is supplied with a constant stream of distraction..
fed to us like pez pellets by the industrial complex which controls the media. It has totally screwed up the priorities in this country. I'm aware of it, and even I find myself being sucked in from time to time. It's unavoidable.
