I remember someone recently posted how Ford went to Bush and patted him on the back after his speech and he also came out against the filibuster. I just wanted you to know we here in Tennessee do have someone running against him. I'm not sure how she's doing in the polls lately but I'm on her Email list and here's what she said in her recent Email. You can find out how you can support her at

Check this out:
Remember the "hug" at the State of the Union?
You know, when Harold Ford, Jr. made a point of hugging the President and patting him on the back for a job well done? Well, Ford wasn't just being friendly. Harold Ford, Jr. has helped the President time and again.
Harold Ford, Jr. recently told an audience in Lebanon:
"If you want me to be a Republican, I'll do that too ... "
But it's not the first time Ford's acted like a Republican:
When President Bush and his big business buddies in the credit card industry needed help passing a bankruptcy bill that would line their pockets at the expense of Tennessee's working families, Harold Ford, Jr. was there.
Voting with the Republicans!
When President Bush and his friends in big oil needed help passing an energy bill that gave huge tax breaks to multinational oil corporations while Americans suffered pain at the pump, Harold Ford, Jr. was there.
Voting with the Republicans!
When President Bush and the Republican-controlled Congress wanted to gut Medicaid, cutting the program by $10 billion, Harold Ford, Jr. wasn't there, standing up for Tennessee families.
Instead, he skipped the vote and Medicaid was cut and Tennessee families were hurt.
It's time we had a U.S. Senator who will stand and fight for us. A Senator we can TRUST!
Rosalind Kurita is a Democrat you can trust to stand and fight for you on the floor of the U.S. Senate.
So if you'd like to help Kurita's campaign you can donate at
