Because he and his crew of nitwits always say the most incredible, disgusting over the top things about Hillary - even before she announced. I can't even begin to imagine what it will be like now. And , for whatever reason, he also hates Al Gore.

I actually was a pretty regular viewer of the MSNBC tv Imus before I go to work - mainly because of the guests - but there is no way I am going to subject my blood pressure to listening to him now.

1. Imus
He's an old brain dead drug and alcohol abuser. Sometimes he's just plain mean and actually thinks someone cares about his opinion.

3. I hate the guy but he sure gets interesting guests.
Watching an interview with Kelly O'Donnell now and she sure gives her point of view away. Tuned in as she was talking about the correspondents dinner. She thought the Bush impersonator and Bush were hysterically funny and Colbert wasn't. What does that tell you?

4. MSNBC has to be getting paid to run that piece of shit show
It's not funny, it's just a bunch of ugly malcontents sitting around whining about people who have actually accomplished something. I think they're still pissed at how much success Stern has had, because they still see him as a rival although he left Anus in the dirt years ago.

5. Why does he hate Gore so much if he and his wife are as environmentalist
as they try to appear to be? For some reason this just dawned on me.

6. That's what I've wondered about too.
Gore and his wife are huge environmentalists, in fact, that is Al Gore's main interest since he left politics. Imus and his wife are supposed to care about environmental issues and related issues, so why the disconnect. Imus should be Gore's biggest supporter and defender.
I know Imus says he is a Repub, but often supports Democratic candidates, like Harold Ford in Tenn. and he likes Richardson in N.M. He had Gore on his show, once, and he totally dissed him. Personality conflict, I guess. And he calls Hillary satan. But he has Cheyney on his show and calls him his friend. Go figure.

7. 9/11 Was The End Of Imus For Me
As one who worked in radio in a former life, watching the behind the scenes stuff on Imus' show used to interest me...when they did the show in the studios in Astoria. While Imus is boring and ignorant, his timing and the way he keeps the show moving is what makes him good at what he does...not much else. He plays the "wheel"...feeding stuff to his hyenas and keeping the show moving.

I would watch through the Clinton inquisition and the 2000 elections and progressively got more and more pissed at the show. Between Bernard McGuirk's racist and sexist crap (along with the worst Clinton hating "jokes") and the sports morons and Larry Kenney and Rob Bartlett's worthless time fillers, I got more and more bored with the show.

I was watching Imus on 9/11 and soon turned him off altogether as they added xenophobia into the mix and Imus fell into the idol worship of numbnutz...just like Tweety and the others. Since then I've watched Washington Journal. While the hosts there iritate me no end, at least it's not the waste of electrons Imus is.

8. They say really vulgar things about HillaryC. Disgusting.
Edited on Mon Jan-22-07 08:47 AM by MookieWilson
Sexism is still acceptable in our society.

If they said stuff like that about minorities, they'd be off the air. And rightfully so.

9. Sexist
A lot of us watch these shows just to see what these people will say. Maybe we need to stop adding to their ratings and give our time to the KO's and Bill Moyers. If a few of these shows tank, the repub. owners may look at their bottom line and give of the truth and over site we want. Remember they want money that's all they want. As the saying goes they will go with whatever old dog will hunt. My best guess is that they don't care about the philosophy when the dollars don't add up.
