Secret Service Visits Man After Letter To Editor
Man Says Wrong Man Was Hanged

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Some might say Dan Tilli's letters to the editor threaten conservative values. The Secret Service briefly worried that the 81-year-old's words threatened President George W. Bush.

The letter referenced the execution of Saddam Hussein and ended with the line, "I still believe they hanged the wrong man." There was no mention of a threat to Bush.

The government apparently saw that as a potential threat toward the president.

Tilli said he didn't say who, and that he could have meant Osama bin Laden. He also said the statement wasn't a threat.

1. That letter was in no way a threat against Bush.
Good grief. The Thought Police are out in force, aren't they?

2. I have to say, this is the MOST paranoid administration I have ever seen
Think it's because they're hated all over the WORLD? I can't believe the SS wastes their time on shit like this.

9. Its not an administration dependent function
The Secret Service works for all presidents, and they are the ones doing the visits.

12. I know they work for ALL Presidents, but the psycho, paranoid one is the one in office
at this time. It IS the most paranoid administration EVER. He never walks among the citizens unless they're invited guests who have been screened with a background check, political rallies must be in his mandated 'zones', blocks away from where he is, he's behind bullet proof glass at all times when driving among the peons, the food he eats in other countries is prepared by chosen trusted people only (reminds me of Saddam Hussein)and his idiotic speeches are given in front of military personnel most of the time. Dick Cheny is just as bad. The SS is wasting their time following up on shit like this. NOONE in this country can get within miles of the psycho. What is the SS so concerned about? It's a waste of time and money.

4. BushCo's getting twitchy.
They know the whole country hates them (except for the Thirty Percenters that would follow Shrub through Hell), so they're seeing assassins behind every curtain. A fitting punishment for people who have made the whole country paranoid.

13. They searched his house?!? They took pictures of him?!?
He should have refused them entry until he could get his attorney on the phone. That poor old man!

If you don't think that this country has ALREADY become a police state, think again.
