Directed by Michael Winterbottom and Mat Whitecross.
Nominated for a Independent Spirit Award, The Road To Guantanamo is the terrifying first-hand account of three British citizens who were held for two years without charges in the American military prison at Guantanamo Bay., Cuba. Known as the "Tipton Three" in reference to their home town in Britain, the three were eventually returned to Britain and released, still having no formal charges ever made against them at anytime during their ordeal.

Part documentary, part dramatization, the film chronicles the sequence of events that led from the trio setting out from Tipton in the British Midlands for a wedding in Pakistan, to their crossing the Afghanistan border just as the U.S. began their invasion, to their eventual capture by the Northern Alliance and their imprisonment in Camp X-Ray and later Camp Delta in Guantanamo

.........while I wouldn't say anything bad about Cindy, does anybody else think protesting Guantanamo from the shores of a real dictatorship (Cuba, her recent trip) that has the most political prisoners in the western hemisphere maybe poorly thought out?

I know many here respect Cuba because of free medical services or whatever but people who will cross 80 miles of shark infested water on a inter-tube to escape sound very oppressed and un-happy to me..

3. You should really do your research and you would know Guantanamo
is not part of Cuba,we have held prisoners there for 5 years, they have been tortured, were brought here from the middle east so that they could be violently tortured.Several have commited suicide as the place is another abu graibe and run by the us government

yeah, what i said was protesting the US detention camp in Guantanamo while standing on the shores of a real dictatorship known as Cuba that has the most political prisoners in the western world was poorly thought out. And as for doing "research", they were brought there from Afghanistan, not the Middle East and Guantanamo is a town in Cuba that has a US leased base near it.
