Smear Obama, blame it on Clinton
http://mediamatters.org/items/200701200003

Summary: Melanie Morgan, Lee Rodgers, Rush Limbaugh, and John Gibson all forwarded the accusation made by a website controlled by Rev. Sun Myung Moon that Sen. Hillary Clinton was responsible for spreading information linking Sen. Barack Obama to a madrassa, or Muslim school. None of the four cited any evidence, other than the article, that Clinton was responsible for promoting the madrassa story, and the article cited no one by name.

None of the four radio or television hosts cited any evidence that Clinton was responsible for promoting the madrassa story, beyond the InsightMag.com article, which cited no one by name. On December 13, Jason Zengerle, editor of The Plank, the weblog of The New Republic, predicted that Republicans would "launch a savage and despicable whispering campaign against the guy (Barack Hussein Obama, etc.) and then blame it all on Hillary." Zengerle responded to the InsightMag.com article on January 18:

Following up on (the dashing and debonair) Isaac's post, there's another tactic conservatives will likely use to combat Obamamania. They'll launch a savage and despicable whispering campaign against the guy (Barack Hussein Obama, etc.) and then blame it all on Hillary. It's a strategy Tony Blankley more or less spelled out in a recent Washington Times column:

1. I heard this on fox news...
as though it was some big story, whatever his religion was when he was a child I don't see what that has to do with him as an adult and what he has done since then. I guess that the only person who can run for a president has to be a Christian. In the future, look for more and more people of other religions to challenge this...

3. they're suggesting he is a Wahhabbi
it's absurd.

Regarding other religions, the RW elites are struggling to deal with their grassroots bigots not liking Mitt Romney's Mormonism.

4. But I think you might be missing the point......
By implying that this smear was initiated by Sen. Clinton, the people that started this are hopeful that Sen. Obama's Campaign will retaliate against Sen. Clinton and start WWIII.

Whether the "madrassas school" info is true or not isn't the big thing. The big thing is whether or not it is believed Sen. Clinton started this mess!

8. Just a clarification, he had NO religion as a child, his father was an atheist & his mother was
"secular" in his terms. Obama did not belong to any church until adulthood.

They are so full of shit & desperate.

9. Take a guess Robbien!!
No way would Hillary trash talk like that. Just doesn't fit her history and that includes what she wrote in her book. She has class. Her politics are up for discussion.
