A confession: I have been one of those ABBH folks, but part of me is
now secretly pulling for Senator Clinton. I am not a woman, I am a progressive man who would LOVE to see a woman President! Just as much I would love to see Obama or Richardson President. It is time.

So I find myself secretly pulling for her, but I don't think I can vote for her in the primaries.

If she wins the nomination, I will be her #1 supporter.

Good luck to all.

1. Why don't you ask the Brits how great it was to have a WOMAN Prime Minister?
That would be Margaret Thatcher, of course.

I'm sorry, but I think that voting for a woman just BECAUSE she's a woman is absolutely idiotic. Having ovaries instead of testicles confers no special qualities of character on a human being.

7. I'm just saying, being female has nothing to do with political virtue.
Oh, and Thatcher was so "popular" that she was finally forced out long before she actually wanted to let go the reins.

6. Ask Chile how it is to have Michele Bachelet. They LOVE her!

8. They love her because of her good qualities as a person and a leader.
If she were a man with those same qualities, that man would be also be loved. It is not her gender that makes her a good person.

That is the point I'm endeavoring to make; gender is not a measure of the quality of ones character. Women leaders run the gamit from despotic - "Bloody" Queen Mary, who mass murdered English Protestants; to right wing - Thatcher, and now Angela Merkel; to breathtakingly corrupt - Indira Gandhi; to dictatorship - Evita Peron; to all the many manifestations of soulless ideological ugliness in the likes of Jean Kirkpatrick, Margaret Albright and Condileeza Rice.

Being female is no guarantee of goodness and honor.

9. Well said.
Also, popularity is no guarantee of quality. The Italians loved Mussolini, the Germans loved Hitler, the Brits loved Thatcher and Victoria, some Argentinians still long for Evita. Not to mention the adoration for Britney whatshername.

Hillary's main attraction is that she is the wife of a popular ex-president. Beyond that touch of celebrity, she's another opportunistic politician who has, and will, pander to the polls and the money guys.

2. Nimrod, you've had a little too much media punch.
We'll drive you home and make you some coffee.

You'll be ok in the morning.

3. Lol, thanks. I actually liked her during the Clinton days, then really turned
against her recently, the war...etc. I am glad we have 2 years to sort this out. I need time.

5. We're cool. She's smart and tough and has a pretty good shot
at the nomination.

I vote for her if she's our nominee. But I have prior favorites on the primary ballot.

It's going to be a wild one starting next January in Iowa.

All good wishes.

11. Many will vote for her if she is the nominee, but she has
a tough fight on her hands between now and then...
