Contessa Brewer on Hillary on MSNBC...
Personally I don't care one way or the other for Hillary as a nominee; I'm an agnostic as it were. That being stated, I find that Ms. Brewer's questioning to be so outrageous that I an actually reconsidering my opinion of Hillary's candidacy today, and am coming to the conclusion that it is impossible to believe that we as a Nation, could endure the despicable twenty-four hour a day mean-mouthing of her for the next two years and for four or eight years thereafter.

Ms. Brewer is asking question posed in the most vicious manner, smirking and saracastic...it's not so much the exact verbiage but the tone. Tweety does the same thing...sneering, of course, is not a legitimate argument during a formal debate, but it's a powerful tool on television. I don't know how this is going to play out but I will tell you that it's going to be a full-court press against Hillary from today forward.

It's a national tragedy that a capable woman whose I.Q. far far far exceeds the current resident of 1600, is subjected to this type of vituperative viciousness. Alternatively alliteratively, the poo-bah pundits will ruin whatever chances the Dems have of retaking the WH. No amount of fund-raising by the Clintons, no number of labor and environmental endorsements, no grass-roots web-oriented push, could possibly do anything against the full force of the MSM media, when they treat a nomineee as though she were a rabid dog. I believe that the higher powers (tinfoil alert) have decreed that they'll take someone from the Democrat(ic) party, but will not accept Hillary. Otherwise, we would be seeing a whole different approach.

I sincerely wish it were different.

1. This kind of over the top attack only helps her...
FOr some reason, the right wing in this country just cannot help themselves when it comes to the Clintons...they just go wildly overboard and create a backlash sympathy for them ...

After what he endured, Bill Clinton left office with a 65% approval rating...and Hillary won a Senate seat...

I say bring it on...the more outrageous the better...

2. I had not thought of it that way
The right-wing nuts do have a tendency to go WAY overboard and froth at the mouth when it comes to the Clintons. They show just how vile and mean-spirited they are and they go far enough to turn people off to them.

3. Yes, I know the argument...
but after months and years of this just going on and on, and the fact that she is not he, I don't know...and I mean, I DON'T KNOW, whether this applies here.

I just want this crew out, and don't want "The Replacement Killers".

7. FDR had the same media response as Hill - for 4 terms: GOP controlled
media will react the same - always.

The media's attempt to "like" one Dem more than another is fake - they hate them all, because that is what those who cut the checks want.

4. I totally agree with the OP
The only way to escape the onslaught is to be a castaway on a desert island. To this day the RW and their media enablers have not ever been held accountable for their libel and slander. Constant conflict and controversy make for good drama-and very bad results.

5. I view it as a HATE CRIME.
What is a Hate Crime?

Any act of harrassment or violence commited against a person or their property that is motivated by race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, political affiliation, sex, sexual orientation or disability.

6. I'm all for it Fooj.
Libel and slander is not freedom of speech. During l'affaire Lewinsky I was bombarded with faxes and emails at work on a daily basis and I had never even given my 2 cents (just remained silent). I still have not excised that period from my memory.

8. ...and you never shall.
The stink from that whole process is as pervasive as it gets. The Nation as we thought we knew it cleaved in that era once again and that which was rent asunder shall never be put togther again.

Shame on them. Strange part is, they galvanized the Left in a way that it had not been before, opening up the new Web-based communication processes to those who had been disenfranchised. The Zenith so far has been the 2006 election with much more to go. They thought they were going to defeat the Mainland Chinese with the info coming thru on the Web...they didn't know that they would be hoist with their own petard. And it's only the beginning.

Onward and upward...

9. I was watching when Brewer said...
something about the floral chair she was sitting in as suggesting that it had something to do with the women vote. This kind of garbage is making me angry. I am tired of every second that they call this breaking news.

How is this breaking news they have been telling us she is running for years. I don't like the idea that they think women are so simple minded as to vote for someone because of a floral pattern. The media is trying their best to pit Hillary and Obama against each other, I don't choose my candidate based on skin color or sex.

11. Some are, many aren't...

Always look to the Electoral vote distribution...a small change in a couple states makes all the difference, as we all well know.

I think that the 'subliminable' business has started.

We're going to be very busy shooting down the airborne bullshit for the next two years.
