You know what instead of bickering over Obama this and Hillary that

How about we start working to get a Democrat even if it's a moderate one into the White House next November?

So I hear people calling Hillary a warmonger they will not vote for her. Okay so let's hand it off to another religious nut who holds hands with the likes of Falwell and jokes about how much fun it is to execute people and is a true warmonger not just someone who made the mistake of putting their trust into a complete sadistic fool not to betray the document he agreed to adhere to. Great idea people.

Hillary's not my first choice either (I'm a Clarkie) but I will take her any day of the week over ANYONE with an R after his/her name at this point. She or any candidate like her that bears the mark "DLC" may not be as progressive as we want them to be, but guess what? NO viable candidate will ever be because of the fact that America is MODERATE. I don't like to swallow this fact I wish we could have a leader who would cease all corporate welfare, cease crooked dealings in parts of the world which lead to nations full of people crying for our blood, promise Universal Healthcare NOW, all those things but it's not gonna happen with a quick fell swoop like so many people think should be the case.

Point is we will have a great array of candidates this time around who will each be capable of outright slaughtering the competition. We even have the Congressional control to ensure no more right wing sabotage this time.

But yet we're still bitching and bickering when we have clear victory in our hands once again it is ours to lose, the minority party is against the ropes and getting pummeled and due to their incompetence over these last years of hell everyone they're gonna throw at us will come with either anonymity and lack of a name or a very very bad reputation which can easily be exploitable.

As far as I'm concerned ANY Democratic candidate that wins the nomination for prez that at the bare minimum that doesn't answer to the religious right and has a belief that the tax burden shouldn't lay on the shoulders on the middle class will lead the charge to shift this nation back to its proper place of strength and respect-especially with a Democratic Congress to back him/her. I do believe that even DLC candidates want us out of Iraq as soon as feasibly possible and will work to accomplish just that-something that history has shown will never emerge from the minority party. Bill Clinton never had that luxury remember EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN voted against his economic reform bill and refused to cooperate with him on virtually every issue.

So chin up already we're going to win and this nation is going to slowly come out the bush dark ages regardless of whether it's a big name candidate like Hillary, Edwards, Clark, Obama or if we happen to get a surprise from an unknown who charges to the front and takes it all, the important thing is that we focus on the real goal which is to keep these bastards from ever EVER receiving the kind of power they had for the last 7 years and even longer than that if you count how many years they held power in Congress.

I'm 25 I never witnessed the results of what happens when the blue team has total control I am very anxious to see the contrast in what happens when the "adults" step down and are powerless to stop a team that fights for change, and thus far I am personally proud of our Congressional Democrats who have accomplished so much in so little time I can't wait to see what they will do with 4 years or longer of total control over the direction of our nation with no neo-cons to block items such as minimum wage increases and funding for stem cell research.

For now get behind you candidate whoever he/she is and support the hell out of that person work to get that person elected DO NOT work to destroy the other Democratic candidates - in the end we're all on the same team. (Okay unless that candidate is Joe lieberman :)

And well if you disagree and your strong principles just tell you that you cannot under any circumstance vote for a candidate that you are not in total agreement with well then by all means it's a free country go ahead and join the ranks of those who do not matter - it's reality everyone sorry but it is.

I for one want Clark to win, but if he doesn't I'm going to get behind whoever does win the nomination 110% because that person will be coming forward with at a minimum a realistic vision of a nation that operates on common sense which will be embraced as a requirement as opposed to an entity which makes one become labeled as an enemy of America.

5. Personally, I would like to see them forget about `08 for now,
and concentrate on the mess we have in the White House. Campaigns and the attention given to campaigns takes up too much time and energy. Let them negotiate in the backroom until they get done fighting it out, then emerge with a viable candidate or candidates we can choose from. This idea of newscasts full of BS from wannabees, million$ being spent on early campaigns and crowds of hopefuls flooding into Iowa and New Hampshire is pure carnival. We have some serious problems that need to be solved NOW, not after `08.

7. I would imagine that the politicians are going to do a bit of bickering among themselves.
It's the nature of the beast. Complete with mendacity, charges and counter-charges, retractions, downright lies, expansions of the truth, denials, assertions, and all of the other antics that make politics so distasteful and amusing.
