Saw Hillary announce on MSNBC - "Let's chat" ??!!
Personally, I think she has a tin ear. In her taped announcement she said "Let's start a conversation about . . . " and ended up later with "so let's chat".

"Chat"??!! It just sounds so trivializing over the horrific state of affairs at this moment. I do not want to CHAT!

I want a leader, damn it! One who will stand up and fight the rising tide of illegality, unconstitutionality, and moral turpitude that has overrun the government of this country.

If Hillary wants to chat - let her go on Oprah or start her own talk show.

4. Get hold of the ISG report. Read Hillary's contribution to it - - she offered NOTHING
Edited on Sat Jan-20-07 09:49 AM by blm
in the way of input and acted like she only wanted to help them in whatever they deciided to do.

I WANT Hillary to run. I think it will draw more eyes to the series of debates, and the more voices for debating the issues the better.

9. Her ties are to corporate interests and the military industrial complex.
She's over-polled to the extent she's a caricature of a politician. If she's elected, we'll continue the cycle of endless war.

10. Two words: WAL-MART
She used to occupy a seat on their Board of Directors. Now, granted, she gave up that seat a long, long time ago - probably even before the Kathie Lee Gifford sweatshop scandal broke. But how many friends do you suspect she has on the Board who tacitly condone screwing over all those hourly employees like they've been in recent years?

13. At the time she was on the Wal-Mart Board of Directors
she was also the First Lady of the State of Arkansas, the corporate home of Wal-Mart.

Aren't all Arkansas First Ladies given this honor?

5. it looked and sounded
like an infomercial.

And her arm around that pillow
looked like contrived relaxation...
awkward and forced.

And yes... a leader should have
a point of view... we're not here to "chat"
like Rosie, Oprah, Ellen, etc...

geesh.

...for completely different reasons, yes, but there you go.

11. I'm with you!
No 'chatties', just get down to business. We need someone who recognizes our new status in the world and works like hell to reestablish conversations with the nations of this planet to help us recover from this illegal, immoral, *ush regime! I also feel that Pappy Bush and Bill are so close as to be one and the same, and what America needs is new blood! Peace on earth, Kim

14. Remember the Onion? "US Women secede, form the state of UGoGirl"
With its President-for-life, Oprah, and its capital Chicago.

Maybe Hillary Clinton takes the notion of the "You Go Girl" demographic seriously, and thinks that American women are vapid and chatty daytime TV watchers who all share the same studiously moderate political beliefs ;-)

15. Hillary, Hillary, Hillary! Why would you mimick Katie Couric with "chats?"
Can you not see what a failure she was trying to be too "chatty" with the viewers? Katie is no longer standing in front of the desk at her opening and sitting on it at the closing. Someone at CBS finally realized that the viewer wanted a professional news reader not a "chatty" friend.

If her advance "chats" with focus groups told her to clown around as she did, well, we know she got very bad advice.

Your opening fell flat. You may be finished, time will tell as it did with Katie.

17. Bwaaahaaahaaaahaaaaa! Off to a GREAT start, ain't she.

I actually feel a bit cheered by this. If she's going to come off as this much of a phony right at the start of her campaign, maybe we won't end up getting stuck with her as our nominee after all.
