Judge orders Simpson to stop spending money

By Kemp Powers 1 hour, 49 minutes ago

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A Los Angeles judge clamped down on O.J. Simpson's spending on Friday, some two weeks after another judge froze money the ex-football star earned from his aborted book and TV deal about the murders of his ex-wife and her friend.

Superior Court Judge Gerald Rosenberg issued a limited restraining order prohibiting Simpson from spending royalties or otherwise maneuvering funds from any past deals, including media, books and magazines, until a hearing on February 20.

1. Doesn't the son of sam law already apply to him or is that only applicable
if he had been found guilty in the criminal proceedings? Obviously i'm not a legal scholar so maybe one of you law folks can help me out.

2. Only if he'd been found guilty and was in prison.
Since he was acquitted, he can make tons of money off it...of course he has to give it to Ron Goldman's father...

3. It's about damn time! If you or I would have a judgement against us,
We'd have to PAY on it! As far as I know, OJ hasn't paid one penney on the judgement assed in thecivil court trial where he WAS found guilty!

5. Yes, because for some reason The Goldmans can't touch his pension....
Nor the Heisman? I don't understand the pension thing. IF it was my pension and I had a civil judgment against me, they wouldn't hesitate to dip into it.
