Remember the military folks who helped out on the humanitarian missions after the tsunamai...saying it was the most worthwhile mission in their lives ?
I am sure there are many on this board who have experienced the same feeling in assisting those in need. For me, it has been the most rewarding part of my life, when I have been able to step outside concern for myself and extend my hand to another in need. I haven't done it often enough.
Is it so naive to think that if we devoted our resources to helping others instead of attacking them that we could make them our friends ? We could make alot of friends for the money we spend making enemies.
Oh the pain in my heart to know how many innocents have suffered the inhumanity and brutality of war... Oh the pain in my heart to feel powerless to stop it... Oh the pain in my heart to know there is another way...
For the sake of our children, let wisdom prevail before we all perish in the firestorm of our ignorance. Please take a moment of silence...and envision What Could Be.
Could it be so simple as...To love and be loved ?
