Am I alone here ?
When I look at the potential for Iran to be attacked and the entire ME to comes apart .

When I consider the job and money situation in the USA and all the issues people suffer with to barely survive including Katrina victims .

Then I hear ways to solve these issues or hear the political banter and the first 100 hours Pelosi wants to get through as well as how Bush pushes forward adding more troops to the fire .

Then there is all this talk about other nations in horrid trouble .

The entire state of affairs to me seems hopeless with this glooming , pending attack on Iran .

Am I alone here feeling like what's the point of most of this when the main issue seems to be about to explode where all other troubles no matter how vital will be reduced to none existant ?

There does not seem to be any place that one can be to avoid this .

1. I don't think you are alone.. I have similar thoughts even though I try to stay optimistic
but that's why I don't post them here..I don't think I could control my gathering feeling of doom via my galloping paranoia. All we can do is hope that sanity prevails.. there have been rumblings of sanity AND strength from some Senators.. so we will see. Hang in there.

4. There are more forces against the Iran war
but not the clear demonstrations when Bush publicly tried to co-opt the world. Now he dispenses with the charade except for routine repetition and use of tactics that still work to distract and lie. Since he LOST the battle for the world's cooperation he has left everything behind.

More assets, more whistleblowers, revelations, more institutional opposition all the way into the WH and the Bush family is taking a toll. The good guys may be slow and still ineffective at actually stopping the insulting con job, like the good simpleton standing in the middle of the road saying "Duh, you can't fool me again and I want my troops back." The wheedling world leaders playing second banana to Bush ready to take advantage of whatever happens. The same ever dumbing down and incompetent propagandists monopolizing the press. All of that in the weakness of the world, yes, but the great conmen are fools themselves running on empty. they have no ploys, only old exposed plans the simpletons can't quite deal with. The lose and replace stooges, grow impatient with the non-working script, ignoring the boos and dodging rotten tomatoes.

Get the world brain around stopping the conmen. If they fail on their own in their decline all well and good. End the useless drama and end this illegal reign of the folly of follies will happen just like we are sitting there with a bucket of water dully watching a slow burning fuse hoping it will fizzle out.

The actual effective forces against war and the parallel weakness of the administration are greater than in 2003. The exhausted people seem still sidelined. There is more hope than visible public confrontation underneath the stale repetition of the whole fraud, but there is no clear victory over Bush yet, however easy that really is compared to the Bush wars themselves.

Man, I've been in internal exile over this for weeks now

Except I don't think it will make those other problems non existant

It can only exacerbate them

6.  I meant none existent , refering to
If this Iran thing bursts into another war then many of us will end up joining those in big trouble now .

It's impossible to say whether an attack on Iran will somehow spill over here but it is possible , not that I feel we should be excluded since we are the ones who in many ways allowed this to get to where it is now .

I don't mean personally , I did'nt vote for bush or support this attack and well as most others here did not but we are after all hated now .

Since the people who are now in trouble in the US if this Iran thing does explode , most others will be focused on this new war rather than on the internal troubles of the US citizens .

Hell they have been ignored since the beginning . I am not so far from being one of them as if is .

7. I know Bush is batshit crazy, but attacking Iran would probably trigger WWW3
Too many interests would be damaged by that attack, lost revenues and trade would be into the trillions of dollars. He would be shut down before this would ever come to fruition.

See the article below for supporting evidence.

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/China/GF04Ad07.html

China and Russia have invested $100's of billions of dollars into Iran. China has sold military armaments to Iran including surface-to-air missles and surface-to-surface cruise missiles. Additionally, China and Russia have and are participating in joint military exercises, with the intent of countering Mr. Stupid Fuck's possible attack.

I think this is all saber-rattling coming from an impotent piece of shit who is trying to distract the American public once again from the cluster fuck he created in Iraq. He did it with 9-11, by attacking Afghanistan. When it started getting shitty there( I mean has anybody heard much about Afghanistan recently, other than record opium production courtesy of our CIA), he attacked Iraq. Now its getting fubared in Iraq, hey look what's next dorr. This time, however, he fucked with the wrong country. Iran will be no pushover, with the military support and financial backing of both Russia and China, along with the vehement support of the entire rest of the world. The immediate penalty would be severe, Venezuala would cut off our entire oil supply; without their oil supply our internal oil(gasoline) prices would skyrocket. Theoretically, this could cause a civil war in the US.

I see it this way, if I wake up one morning and hear we have launched a full scale attack on Iran, I'm putting my head between my legs and kissing my ass goodbye. Then I'm probably gonna head for the hills for awhile. Anyway that's my forty-two bits.

8.  I wish I could see it that way .
I know bush is certainly crazy . With so many people like Hartmann and Randi and Malloy all saying this will happen this just adds to my fear it will .

Now I don't know what they base this on fully but this seems to be more and more what the idea is .

On this forum too , there are both sides taken in this issue .

I suppose all that remains is to wait and see that happens since there are so many ways this could go .

I just don't feel at ease at all right now that this will be stopped fast enough or id this can be stopped since we don;t know how far things have gone so far . It my be alot worse that we realize or it could be alot of smoke blowing .

When talk increases I get more on edge .

9. I'm not completely ruling it out
But if I could be a bookie for this event( yes, yes, I know, sounds morally vacuous) I would put the odds at 4 to 1 against.

I hear your unease, but consider this, the disinfotainment media complex today reports hardly any REAL news. When they do report acutal news it never discusses the backstory or the chain of events leading up to the culimination. Their whole purpose of existence is to make money by Entertaining you, not Informing you. I use the term entertain in the grab and hold your attention context. Thus, while we are all distracted with disinfotainment, much more important shady shit is really happening that is being ignored.

10.  I understand , however I don't listen to the propaganda machine
Just what I read on reliable sources or on the liberal radio shows which do supply reliable information to back up what they relate on the air .

With that I see a bit of maybe and maybe not but it appears to be leaning toward the will be side more and more lately .
