Constitutional Crisis-- Dead Ahead!
Hearings, leaks, and revelations clearly show that Bush is going to ignore any kind of restraint on his 'unitary' powers as President and Commander in Chief.

Now Attorney General Gonzales says Judges are unfit to review and constrain Bush's power, and that they should bow to his will.

Bush and his Administration officials lie to the American people and Congress about what he is doing, and when he is doing it.

Given these circumstances, there is no way to avoid a Constitutional Crisis.

The Judicial Branch has always been the final authority in interpreting and applying the Constitution and what it means. Here Bush is going right at that check and power held by the Judical Branch.

You will recall, when the SCOTUS installed him as President Bush was happy to acknowledge their authority. Likewise, when the SCOTUS supported his position on other matters, he was happy to acknowledge their decisions as the final authority. But when the SCOTUS ruled against him, Bush has publicly critized them and questioned their authority.

The issue here will involved thousands of lives and billions of dollars, but the real conflict is over the limits of Presidential power and the establishment of a de facto 'dictator.'

Once the war with Iraq widens to include an attack on Iran, this issue will rise to the top and in the midst of terrible circumstances we as a country will have to address it. No one should be surprised where we are headed, and say we did not see this coming.

Meanwhile the American public is only beginning to awaken to the dire situation we are in.

2. Whether Congress gets a spine or not it will land right in their laps...
.... this is not going to be one they can table or pass off to someone else.

Constitutional crises have a habit of arising all on their own, and won't go away without the country facing the consequences.

When Nixon was ordered by the SCOTUS to turn over the Watergate tapes there was a Constitutional crisis that could not be ignored.

It will happen again, and soon. The difference will be whether Bush 'claims' power greated and higher than the SCOTUS to define his own powers as President and the power to ignore a ruling of the SCOTUS.

This has never happened before, but it could with Bush.

7. The Constitutional crisis is way back there in the rear-view mirror.
And Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are speeding away, apparently drunk off their asses.

8. Impeach NOW
This can't wait another two years, this can't wait another thirty seconds. If the "decider" is not going to adhere to the rule of law then he is a dictator, plain and simple. Impeach him NOW.

9. It's becoming more clear every day that BushCo is going for the whole enchilada
A full-on fascist dictatorship is their ultimate goal since it's the only solution that ~may~ keep them in power. Obviously they must be stopped.

10. Crisis? What Crisis? Impeachment is not a crisis. It's the weapon we gave them. . .
. . .to defend our Constitution against precisely the kind of war Bush and Cheney have declared on it.

It is long past time. Everything we need to make an indefensible case is public record. Impeach the torturers now.
