Poll question: Another Poll on Edwards
Edited on Tue Jan-16-07 11:10 PM by madmunchie
If you had a choice to either vote for Edwards in the Primary OR anyone of the other possible candidates in the Democratic Party, who would you vote for?

I am serious here, I want to see how many DUers are absolute Edwards fans and how many DUers are absolutely against Edwards....then we can go from there.

1. Won't vote.
Can't say that I support Edwards over Clark/Obama/Gore(if he ran) but I can't say I am "absolutely against Edwards". I like him a lot.

2. not a good poll. First, it's too soon to answer, and second,
you're asking if people would vote AGAINST Edwards only. personally, I don't have any idea who I'm going to vote for in the primary. I want to see what each one says, how they react to criticism, and how strong each oneis on the campaign trail. Right now, I wouldn't vote AGAInST any of the Dem candidates!

4. Depends who the other candidates are
I just think Edwards will say whatever he has to for publicity. I want someone who is anti-war and anti-imperialist. If the Dems don't produce such a candidate, I will go to a party that does.

9. Good luck with that
I'll work like hell to get a progressive Democrat nominated, but, after the nomination, we all must back the nominee. We have seen the alternative.

12. why
so we can get a raise in the minimum wage at home to appease the "progressives" then off to more welfare reform and bombing? I think not.

6. Some people already know who they don't want as a Democratic Presidential Candidate
That is all that am trying to find out ~~~~~ how many so far. There are many that have their hopeful favorites right now, so if that is who they want, than they can vote their choice. We know that Edwards is running, he has been since shortly after 04' election...he has been in Iowa 5x or so already. So I want to see how the one and only candidate is doing so far.

Dodd, just announced, Kucinich...well, while we all love him, too many people won't vote for him because they think that he cannot win - oh the irony of it - Hillary hasn't announce, and Obamma just announced today, so really, Edwards is the only real candidate in the race as of today. 2nd Category is for the rest of the "hopefuls" and "maybes". The last column is for anybody else that might not want to vote at this time.

3. Not sure
I'd vote for some of the other candidates, but not just any one in preference to Edwards. Edwards would be somewhere in the middle. Which of the poll choices should I select?

5. I'm Leaning Edwards, But He Hasn't Closed The Deal
Still trying to come to terms with IWR. OTOH, Iraq isn't the biggest issue for me.

I need to see how the other candidates do under pressure.

8. I would support Kucinich
I am leaning towards Obama as well. He was against the Iraq war but it will depend on his stance re: Iran and others. If he starts talking like a neocon he's off my list. I know I don't have to fear this with Kucinich. Dodd also votedfor the war along with Hillary..even though 2/3 of dems in congress, majority of rank and file dems, most foreign govs. and CIA knew it was a mistake. If they are that bought out or stupid they dont deserve the presidency.

13. I'm leaning towards Obama.
I don't like that Edwards voted to authorize the Iraq war. If he wins the primary, I will vote for him in the general elction, but he didn't show leadership when our country needed him too.

15. Prefer Clark
I prefer Clark but will vote for whoever wins the nomination. My dream ticket is a combination of Gore & Clark. Both would bring so much to the ticket. I was very disappointed that Kerry/Edwards vowed to fight until every vote was counted but then caved when push came to shove even though it looked like Ohio was stolen from them. Plus the fact Edwards voted for the war.
